Certainly, we have to take that away from Duncan's total, since that team full of guys in their mid-30s never would have held up to an 82 game season.

Let's take away Vince Carter's Rookie of the Year as well. I know he was about to hit that rookie wall!
Yes, they should.

Duncan is still fine with 4.75 rings.

Besides, he’s a nice guy.

Regardless, it was a level playing field and the lakers came out on top with king James earning his fourth finals mvp with averages of 30/12/9. The heat didn’t put up a great fight in the finals but they earned their way there. As a 5 seed they had to beat a 4 seed pacers, 1st seed bucks, and 3rd seed Celtics to get to the finals.
Seriously. I’d wager that about 80% of his total posts are about LeBron, the Lakers, or any team LeBron has played on.

Lakers are for sure going to be in the top 6. Will probably get to 5th. 4th may be a stretch, but possible.

I hate asterisk talks. There is no such thing in high level competitive sports.

But if there's a championship team(s) that deserved an * it would have to be the 99 Spurs and the 2023 Chiefs.

Rest are valid and earned.

Or an agenda toward LeBron. They’re already setting it up. Omg look at this little Timberwolves sequel stretch. They were def favorites before the trade. Same starting Timberwolves lineup with AD instead of KAT and no Antman. No faith in them. Now praising and noticing every W. In the event they don’t win. They can somehow stick that on a 38 year old coming off injury who hasn’t played with these dudes.

I know next to nothing about football, don’t watch, watched like maybe half of the Super bowl. What’s the asterisk?

KAT hasn't played since November.... Not to mention that AD is head and shoulders above KAT and Lebron is much better than Antman.

Keep pushing your "no pressure/expectations" agenda though. Tell me who out West should be better than AD/Lebron/DLo and co...

Nuggets who crap the bed every year?
Kings who haven't been to the playoffs in almost 20 years?
Grizzlies who can't get their star to stop drinking and waving guns around?
Suns who can't have their star play without slipping on the floor?
Warriors who have a 7-26 road record?
Clippers who crap the bed every year and have the "cancer" that prevented the Lakers from being good?

The Lakers should have a relatively easy road out of the West. If they make it out of the West healthy, they should be able to also take on Tatum/Brown or Giannis and co.

He’s 38 with a team he’s never played before. Of course you ignore these facts and want to set expectations high for your agenda.. Keep pushing? As you have been pushing the agenda and your narrative since the trade for pages. Nice gaslighting buddy

Nuggets who crap the bed every year? Best in the west with possibly a 3peat mvp
Kings who haven't been to the playoffs in almost 20 years? This ain’t your paperboys kings
Grizzlies who can't get their star to stop drinking and waving guns around? A sober ja and a healthy grizz is going to be a tough playoff team
Suns who can't have their star play without slipping on the floor? Kd will be back before the playoffs and the suns were already a good team
Warriors who have a 7-26 road record? Defending champs and should be healthy for the playoffs
Clippers who crap the bed every year? Another good team with 2 stars, no load managing in the playoffs

The Lakers should have a relatively easy road out of the West. If they make it out of the West healthy, they should be able to also take on Tatum/Brown or Giannis and co.
I mean you’re not wrong but easily countered with a positive prospective. Now I fully disagree with any easy road talk, that’s just your bias talking to build up failure.

Can you answer the question and say who should beat them in a 7 game series? All teams fully healthy, the Suns should be the only challenge.

You either win or you don't.

But I'd love to hear the case for the Chiefs deserving an * over the 2017 Houston Astros.

Anyway, this should be fun.

If Ja is in the right head space upon returning and with a chip on his shoulder I see an MVP caliber season next year.

I'm not giving the Chefs an * but the ref handed them that victory on a silver platter.

2020 bubble chip gets a forever * from me.

76ers going for 6 straight vs CLE tonight, should be fun.

You think he learned to shoot in 8 days of "rehab" or he will transform himself over the summer? He stands no chance until he can at least shoot better than JJJ.

Yeah any time you steamroll a Garnett lead team, then sweep a Kobe and Shaq Lakers team (that won the next 3 titles) and dominate 2 incredibly deep teams it defs deserves an asterisk.

The bubble chip was laughably bad, I made an easy $2k betting on the Lakers when they were down 1 - 0 to POR in round 1.

There literally was not 1 other player/team in the League that knew how to win..

Steph and KD were injured.
Kawhi I guess was there but they crapped the bed.

LeBron smelt blood and rode AD's coat tails to the W.

Given all the variables involved, the Lakers in 2020 had the biggest asterisk on their championship.

The only thing I’ve learned from people trying to put an asterisk on a title is that the only outcome will be pissing off the fan base of the team that won said title. It’s such a useless exercise, and never leads to any healthy debate about anything. And usually, the only people who want to talk about asterisk titles are the people that hate the teams that they are about to say needs an asterisk on their title. These conversations are almost always 100% biased. Having said all that…the 2019 Raptors know there’s an asterisk on that chip.

It was a hold. When you do that, refs usually throw a flag.

Maybe the Eagles D should have tackled and covered better.

Rode AD’s coat tail 😆. Yeah. Ad is a real winner. Who was finals MVP again?
How’s your boy Simmons? Still take him over Donovan? 🤣

Lmao. I think we’re at the point everyone has had to come to realize Lebron is the best of his generation (more like 2 generations) and ,if not second, on the short list of the best to ever play. Some of the stuff I’ve read over the past couple of months has to be satire. No way someone with the level of intelligence it takes to use an electronic device to post believes what they are typing.
