They're pointing to his claim about the Diamond Princess being his model, at the time of the article's publication, that was about as reliable a test case that he had. Obviously he'd probably agree that his assumptions weren't perfect, but to act as if he was simply "debunked" on the main thrust of his claim is not true. If the Imperial College model is what spurred on our respective Government's decisions to shut down the world, then we have a much larger problem than a novel virus (utterly incompetent leadership who can be swayed far too easily by a projection and not hard data).

The other aspects about his article were far more important than simple infection rates, like Covid-19 being a catalyst for an underlying issue actually ending someone's life or pushing someone who was already vulnerable over the edge into needing lifesaving treatment. That, to me, was far more pertinent when combined with Italy's numbers regarding people passing away with pre-existing issues that contributed to their passing or hospitalization.

Judging by localized numbers we are seeing now (and the number of elderly/exposed) who are needing treatment, the wave of horribly sick isn't happening. The lag in data will always be present when dealing with something unknown until the testing is made more readily available. What is the actual pool of people who are positive for the virus but are asymptomatic? My 83 year old Grandma had a bad respiratory issue a few weeks ago and she has a constant nagging cough over the last several years, was that Covid induced? I don't know, she wasn't tested and she bounced back after quick scrip (not sure what she took).

Corona and the flu are not similar scenarios despite how badly some individuals want to correlate them based on early death statistics.
In terms of actual deaths, the flu is still far more dangerous, it is just more well known.

I think we made a grave error in the US and quarantined the healthy after the virus already got here, so now those who might have been vulnerable are subjected to increased risk of getting infected by those who do not know they have the virus.

Keep pointing at the rising deaths!

Its only 41!
Its only 50!
Its only 100!
Its only 200!

Look at the dead, its not that bad!
I know it is morbid, but this is a means to measure the actual danger of said virus.

This virus is showing the frailty of western medicine in terms of dealing with quantities, but it is skewing HARD against people who have other issues that are compounded by covid (either way they need a bed, but it shouldn't be a surprise). An aggressive attack to your lungs when you already had walking pneumonia (which is very common for people who are overweight, sedentary, etc) is not exactly an unexpected cause for hospitalization.

Italy's population of smokers are not helping the numbers at all. Spain's population smokes at a similar clip to Italy's too. Do not be surprised if those who do die in Spain had pulmonary/respiratory issues due to smoking.

Was just reading that the biggest difference between SARS and Corona is that SARS wasn't contagious prior to showing symptoms like with Corona, and that's why it's spreading so quickly/easily.

What are we doing wrong? North Korea has conquered the disease as of 4 days ago. We should text him to see how he did it.

They found a vaccine, called a bullet to the head.

Not photoshopped. Andrew Yang tweeted "This coronavirus is very serious" the previous day. People were aware, not everyone took it seriously though.

it would be nice if small businesses could get some support instead of casinos and cruise ships or airlines that spent it all on stock buybacks.

Yes, there is no reason to be giving billionaires money when there are thousands and thousands of small businesses that are cratering on going out of business the longer they are shut down/limited in ability to be open.

Agreed. I think people are going to have to consider for how much longer they are going to tolerate this situation. It's not good.

I had to google it.
There's 540 billionaires in the United States.
18.6 million millionaires. That number surprised me.

Edit
Seeing conflicting numbers. Another site said 11.2 million millionaires. It also pointed out that's more people than the entire population of Greece. That's crazy.

Ignore the hashtags. I'm thinking we see a lot more of this in the coming weeks, maybe Sephora was right.

Prop47 seems to be working as planned right?

Plus they know they aren’t arresting anyone right now for low end crimes.

I enjoy reading your posts because there is thought behind them, generally speaking. In this case, this post is garbage.

The author is a nobody. This is his bio, source below. He is not a doctor, scientist, or researcher. He is, though, a Republican Operative and an “influencer in politics”. Doesn’t seem kosher. You’re so much better than this.

Aaron Ginn is the co-founder of the Lincoln Network (www.joinlincoln.org), which is the largest community of liberty-oriented technologists in the world. Aaron was named toForbes 30 under 30 for Politics and awarded the Top Ten Influencers in Politics by WIRED. His background is at the intersection of politics and technology. One day, you're going to realize that it's the words spoken, not who speaks them that matters. Sadly, that day is not today.

So is CNN, MSNBC, Fox News yet a majority of us are using that to come to conclusions on what is going on.

My father in-law is convinced he created a drug that can put you to sleep for one year, then you wake up exactly 366 days later. But the government wouldn't let him produce it.

Sounds like a match to me.
