Here is what I have noticed. Teams finally seemed to have their come to Jesus moment with Trout (in terms of throwing him pitches down in the zone) They don’t care if they walk him, they will pitch to them on their terms. Only high and inside pitches. When is the last time he got a low pitch? Some teams go 3-0 to sneak a strike because he never swings 3-0....and then try some goofy pitch and he walks anyway. He is close to breaking Rickey Henderson’s walk record in games before May. And other team’s announcers are saying there is no reason to pitch to Trout - until people around him start hitting the ball. (Which we all know anyway)

I forgot what game it was but on a 3-0 count I noticed that the catcher was positioned outside the strike zone. They definitely do not care if they walk him.

I think the lineup is finally taking shape. Fletcher/Goodwin in front of him with a decent OBP. Eventually Ohtani/Simmons/Upton behind him for protection. Rengifo is looking decent as well. Bour and Cozart should never play again.

I did this with Jered Weaver. I paid insane amounts of $ for his cards and set the market high for his cards. Once I stopped 100% buying into my scrub PC player, his cards dropped like crazy to the level before I came in. I understand Trout has a bigger following than Weaver but you get the idea.
I think JJ is buying Trout stuff that is out of the realm of most people as it is

Nobody can corner the market on any given player. You can corner the market on one particular card, but that's about it. Even then, it is incredibly difficult, no matter how deep your pockets are.

No chance. I have zero impact on the Trout market. It is much bigger than you give it credit. I also haven't been buying the cards that set the market (Update base PSA 10s, etc).

Been waiting for awhile to share this. Moving into the new condo today so after having this piece made last June, I’m finally getting around to hanging.

^^^^^^^Nice framed Trouts!

It's snowing here in Chicago but still a nice day to go fishing. I also picked up the 16 and 18 Atomics to go along with my 15 and 17.

How much do you think the 2011 Prime Cuts should go for? There's 3 on ebay at over $2,000 OBO which I think is way high even though the last one sold for $1,800 PSA 8.5 which I feel was a fluke. Shouldn't they be well under $1,000 due to the no logo or am I wrong?

Reggie bought it for $1,800 at the time. Let's be honest, he overpaid at the time, however, Reggie's sale set the market. I would not sell for under Reggie's price since the market has been set at that price.

I'm a little surprised all are still up there if the market is around $1,800 for a 8.5. Unless the sellers aren't willing to budget enough. I really thought these were around $700-$800. The one daniela has looks to have rough corners, but I guess that doesn't matter too much. I'm curious to see if any of these sell and at what price.

The slump is keeping buyers from it right now. Funny thing is... when Trout breaks out of slump... cards on fire again

I agree that I overpaid for it, but to be honest, I wanted it REALLY BAD and (at that time) they didn’t pop on eBay often. There are only 99 of them in the world and it was for my Trout RC PC, so $1800 was what I was willing to spend on it. Who is to say the next time it pops up, it will then be worth $1800? So I went all in and pulled the trigger. I am happy and it was for my PC.

To a casual Trout collector, I would say it is a $1000 card. Unfortunately, my (auction) purchase brought up the asking price.. but if I was a seller, I would do the same thing, right? That is just my opinion. Good luck
