While truly exquisite and rare, I really wish I could make out the writing in Sam's message:

Unfortunately much of it appears too unintelligible for me to try to decode. Hope someone else can help figure it out.

Do you know if any of these autos were legitimate?

I remember the cap anson auto from the set was a possible fake and I’m not sure what kind of due diligence topps went through to verify the authenticity of the cut autos in the set.

To my recollection, that was the most extensive cut auto checklist I have ever seen in sports cards history in terms of depth of HOFers.

Haven’t checked my favorite thread in a while. Yes, this an early legendary cut were riddled with fakes. I have seen the Pop Lloyd and Tim Keefe and both of those were bad.
