Rooting for the Red Sox and Tigers this weekend. I'd definitely rather see Orioles vs. Tigers at OPACY.
Also Ubaldo is officially the next Kershaw and should start the WC game Last edited by Orange October; 09-30-2016 at 08:25 AM. |

Hmmm. Shouldn't it be Tillman? I know Ubaldo has been hot, but Tillman has been more consistent all season and has owned the Tigers this year. (And he's been pretty good against the Jays too)

Tillman hasn't been that great his last two starts since coming back from the shoulder bursitis. Otherwise, I'd say start him. Buck said in the post game interview last night that they're going to "go with the hot hand" so maybe it will be Ubaldo. I was thinking before that it would be Ubaldo or Gausman, but I think they'll still start Gausman Sunday since it seems that these will be critical games. If Sunday didn't matter as much, they might've started Bundy instead and pushed Gausman back for the Wild Card. We'll see what happens! The weather this weekend makes it all even crazier! It's going to be an exciting end to the season! |

Yeah, I'm thinking it'll be him for the WC game. He just one hit the Jays at home over 6.2 IP in the biggest game of the season. He can obviously handle the pressure of the big game and has been excellent since he shortened his delivery.
Especially if it's against the Jays again. Some of their career stats against Ubaldo: Bautista: 3-38 (.079/.222/.105) Donaldson: 5-28 (.179/.250/.393) Encarnacion: 9-41 (.220/.360/.366) Tulowitzki: 1-11 (.091/.167/.091) |

From FanGraphs:
Four Trivial Things to Watch This Weekend | FanGraphs Baseball "Zach Britton’s Chase for Run-Prevention History A month and a half ago, I wrote about the potential for Zach Britton to put up the greatest season of run-prevention we’ve ever seen. It was early August and Britton hadn’t allowed an earned run since April 30th. It was a mind-blowing streak and I didn’t think he would be able to extend it through the end of the season. Well, he didn’t. He had one hiccup on August 24th and has now allowed one earned run since April 30th. All total, Britton has allowed four earned runs and seven total runs through 64.1 innings pitched this season. The result is a 0.55 ERA and 0.98 RA9, both of which would be the lowest full season marks in major league history (min. 60 IP) — surpassing current record holders Fernando Rodney (2012, 0.60 ERA) and Wade Davis (2014, 1.00 RA9). While the Orioles play for their spot in the postseason this weekend, Britton will be able to secure the greatest season of run-prevention we’ve ever seen if he can make it through these final games without allowing another run. If he allows even one, however, he’s guaranteed to fall behind Rodney and Davis." |

Hey I didn't write the article! I think he'll do it though.
Ken Rosenthal has Britton as his AL Cy Young pick http://www.foxsports.com/mlb/story/k...-awards-093016 |

My math may be wrong, but if the O's win tonight and both Detroit and Seattle lose, then the O's clinch a wild card.

MASSIVE win!!!! Especially with the Toronto pen once again having a meltdown. That Benoit injury really hurt them.
