Yankees vs Sox in a winner take all game. Can't ask for more than that. I wonder how many BFD 1st Chrome Autos would have sold if they existed in '78?

Devers has been a buy all year.

He will have multiple 50 run seasons in the future. I'd bet on it. Finished 4th in MLB in xHR with 40.9

It was a transitional season. He grew a bit. Accumulated. He never got particularly lucky or hot.

He still managed 101 runs, 165 hits, 38 homers, 113 RBI, 5 SBs and ended game 162 with 2 huge ones to keep the Red Sox season going w/out a game 163.

Man deserves more attention and he'll get it eventually.

Long term? Yes. Short term? I think you’ll see slightly better prices in December (barring a breakout playoffs where he leads the Sox to the WS).

I agree with this I was looking at his card prices and I can’t believe they are as low as they are.

Are Devers cards cheap? Or is everyone else too expensive???

I still can’t believe the prices I see him going for, but that is based on experience of what we were buying at last couple years feeling more appetizing

I don’t get it…

He had 201 hits in 2019 - #2 in all of MLB at 22 (#1 in total bases) and batted .311

This year he was #10 in HR, #4 in RBI and #5 in total bases.

He’s 24 and an elite hitter in a major market on a top team, yet he gets no hobby love…

Yep. I think Devers as much or more than anybody is due to fall. I've definitely seen a slowdown in sales vs July/August. Part of that is the quality of card I have left, but part of it was his slowdown in September.

Overall I'd say his prices are still a tad low, but I've got at least 5 guys out of the 70 or so I track that are better. buys. To really explode into the next level he's going to need be a part of an MVP race. Whether you think he's low or appropriate probably depends on what you think his MVP chances are. I'm pretty bullish and will probably end up replacing a lot of what I've sold...eventually.

The guys who have huge prices typically have had back to back big seasons. Devers has yet to do that in his career, but is in good position next season.

None of his core cards I stack multiples of are down.

Topps Chrome autos / Heritage autos seem up and didn't soften at all in September.

When I say slowdown, I mean literally they are selling slower, not lower. I was selling two a day in July. Now it's two a week. I have hardly adjusted my prices though. I'll bet if I lowered them a little sales would pick up, but still not to July levels.

I just wish Devers was 100% right now. Whatever is up with his hand/forearm is really shame. For a lot of people this might be their introduction to Devers.
If the Red Sox win today maybe he’ll have a couple off days for whatever is bothering him to heal.
