Man, looking back at the season it's a bummer my team didn't get a better break in the playoffs. Entered the playoffs with the 2nd most points scored in the league and I had a strong week 1 scoring 3rd most points in the league. But Yanks' team went nuclear, nothing you can do. But I would have beat him handily in each of the next 2 weeks, and my team finished strong, 3rd most points in the 2nd round and 2nd most in the 3rd round. Especially after missing a bye by just 1 game

That's just how it goes, but tough luck. Nonetheless, despite finishing just 5th overall (my 3rd time finishing 5th in the five years we've done this league, really need to get over that 1st round playoff hump), this is definitely the best team I've ever had here. Based on points scored I had the best offense in the league and the 2nd best pitching staff. For the most part, my team isn't very old either so I'm hoping I should be around for awhile

Way too early look at my keepers-

Locks
1. Matt Olson
2. Kris Bryant
3. Trea Turner
4. Aaron Judge
5. Yordan Alvarez
6. George Springer
7. Shohei Ohtani
8. Shane Bieber
9. Zack Wheeler
10. Lucas Giolito
11. Julio Urias
12. Sandy Alcantara
13. German Marquez

Leaves me with 7 to pick from a group of guys that all can make a strong case to be kept, including-

Mitch Garver
CJ Cron
Adam Frazier
Jorge Polanco
Luis Arraez
Jose Miranda
Mark Canha
Alex Kirilloff
Stephen Strasburg
Kenta Maeda
Joe Ryan
Bailey Ober
Michael Kopech
Max Meyer

Good mix of floor and ceiling, vet and prospect there. Not going to take it any further than that but I should have a strong starting point next year no matter how I pick from those guys

Looking to make some moves the off season after a very up and down year this year. Feel like I'm right on the edge of being a pretty good team with some tweaks and being healthy.

Who is my list for trades

Looking to Move:

David Peralta
Tommy Pham
Joey Gallo
Deivi Garcia
Oscar Colas
Geraldo Perdomo
George Valera
Nestor Cortes
Jordan Montgomery
James Kapriellian
Cole Irvin
Brusdar Graterol
Hunter Renfroe

Maybe:
Robbie Ray
Rhys Hoskins
Nick Pratto
Tommy Edman
Joey Bart
Nick Gonzales
Luis Severino
Noah Syndergaard

Looking for OF, Pitching, and possibly Middle Infielder

Starting to look at getting this up and running for another year. Here was last year's timeline-

Payments due: Sunday, Feb 28
Keepers due: Wednesday, March 3
Draft begins: Thursday, March 4
Opening Day: Thursday, April 1

I think we can follow a similar timeline this year. I'm going to hold off a few weeks though on opening up payments so we can keep an eye on what's going on with the CBA and move the timeline back if that looks like it may be needed. I do want to keep a few weeks for the draft, but hopefully we can wait until a new CBA is signed as I'm expecting a flurry of FA moves and some trades once that happens, it would be nice to draft after that instead of before anything has happened

For now, you can let me know if you're in for another year or not. I'll get PMs out to everyone in the next week or two just looking for a commitment to 2022, and will set up LeagueSafe and start collecting payments after that

I think the one big thing we had to work out rule-wise this year is what happens with prospects over limits that get autodropped due to manager inactivity - placed on waivers, frozen until next year's draft, etc

Was there anything else?

Don't want to have these discussions quite yet until we have everyone committed for '22 but we can work on compiling the list of topics in the meantime

I’ll be back.

The other issue I think we should discuss is changing the draft from snake to traditional as it is based on prior year results and is meant to help the worst teams improve the most.

Looking to move Josh Donaldson, Carlos Santana, Adam Waingwright, Mark Melacon, Craig Kimbrel. Looking to move atleast 3-4 of these guys. Could be for pick swaps or a 2 for 1 situation for someone a little younger. Also my minors OTB are Hutner Bishop, Heston Kjesterstad, Hedbert Perez, and Austin Wells

Only person we haven't heard from yet is Yanks. He was MIA for awhile last year but then was quite active, so no concerns about replacing quite yet. Will PM him

Could bring up one thing as a suggestion - and I've def done this myself a couple times. Do you think we should switch our major and minor league draft order. IE: do minor league draft first, then major. I think a lot of times people are taking a minor league guy as a flyer in the 8th-10th round in ML draft, granted has to be kept on roster but given roster size most teams can make due with it. That would make it so the minor league picks would have more value then they currently do. I'm personally indefferent to the rule, but does think it helps the teams rebuilding

I also don't care what we want to do here....but this makes a lot of sense.

Also have to vote on the 'KeBryan Rule'

I think we keep it simple. (this is my vote)

Hollywood post in the thread when a player is over the limit. Also PM's member if a player is over. That way if the thread isn't checked there is backup documentation of notification. Player then has to add the player in the following 7 days. I say this because we have add limits and that would give the owner a fresh add window.

If the player isn't added in 7 days, he is then offered manually in reverse order of the standings. If the player isn't added by any team, he becomes a true FA.

I also think if this becomes a habitual issue with any managers, we should replace them.

I would agree that flipping the order makes sense.
