Only row 0 from that year I ever pulled was the LJ, still have it.

If I had it in front of me I'd be curious to read the effect patent name on the bottom reverse, you see that pattern everywhere from cards to damn wrapping paper. Really nice looking set.

Well guys I've accomplished one of my Hobby goals for 2015. I picked up the last 2 cards I needed to complete my 1996-97 Skybox Autographics Set. Just received the Stoudamire yesterday and the Black Ink McCloud is en Route. Thanks to those on here that helped me out with the set.

Also, last weekend I submitted a handful of the big names to JSA/BGS for Authentication/Grading. I'll submit another five once I have the first order back. Just looking to do this for the SP and SSPs.
Once I have all cards in hand I will take pics of the completed set all together and post them on this thread.

These are the last 5 cards I picked up in most recent order.

George McCloud Black Ink
No disrespect to Mr McCloud but who would've thought his card would be the last piece needed for this Prestigious Set. My pockets are pretty empty now as I had to pay a hefty price for this.
So tough finding the black ink. I actually found the Blue Ink early on in my set chase and I like that one because he added his Number below his auto.

Damon Stoudamire SSP Enough said

Scottie Pippen Blue Ink
Probably my favorite card in the set. Obtained it from BO member (wonderful)

Hakeem Olajuwan Blue Ink
This one was also a challenge to pick up and I actually had to buy it in a lot as the seller was not looking to sell individuals. Now I have doubles that I'll need to move

Juwan Howard SP
This one doesn't surface very often.

Mind blowing work on the Autographics set! Congratulations, so...when are you going to scan the set in for us so we can admire it?

sonic I wish I knew you needed that McCloud. How long were you looking for it? I actually pulled it from a pack of 96-97 EX2000 when those cards first came out. At the time, it had a book value of like $80. Same pack had an Iverson rc, so I was pretty happy as a kid. Prob the first auto I ever pulled. The only other autographics I pulled were Derek Fisher and Augmon but I think both were from the following year.

That Pippen is such a great card. You def need to take a photo of the set in its entirety. Did you manage to collect the whole set in 2015 alone?

Once I have the 1st batch back from JSA/BGS which probably wont be till late January if I'm lucky. I hear JSA's turnaround time is not that good.

Had been looking for the McCloud for over a year. Came across a couple but I either missed out on auction or the price was too high. Ended overpaying in the end but it was well worth it in order to complete the set.

It took me approximately 15 years. I mean I pulled a few back in 96 but didn't decide to go after the Set until around 2000. Almost gave up on it a few times but glad I didn't.

Does your McCloud include the number 21 below the autograph?

crazy how many variants there are and on top of that one has to be very educated on the bigger cards because of all the fakes people have created over time after the bankruptcy sale.

Thanks for sharing, I'll probably be looking to add the variant with the jsy # to my set. Any other variants you know about?

Wow so it's not just the blue McClouds that are numbered huh? Makes the set that much more confusing.

hey guys i have a question? in 2004 fleer came out with usa basketball/2004 cards (i've never seen more than five lebron, bosh, wade, anthony, and okafor) all unnumbered, usa uniform ;names in an ultra style. not a short print tons out there. often confused with 2004-05 fleer tradition usa inserts but those 13 cards are numbered have a different style and are serialed to /99 and a few unserial #'d versions are out there from the banruptcy auction. any body know anything about these cards? they never came out of any pack i heard of. but they had to have been distributed someway, they were everywhere.

Sorry that I saw your reply late.

- Mark Jackson with "God Bless You" inscription (some Black's + *suspect* most Blue's)/without inscription (most Black's)
- Dennis Scott with jersey number (some Black's)/without one (most of them)

That's all I know.

Edit: here's a Dennis Scott Blue with jersey number, most likely he signed in an estimated similar pattern as McCloud (see my next post): http://www.worthpoint.com/worthopedi...auto-103926779

Some McCloud Black's do contain jersey number. I saw that on multiple occasions a few years ago before snagging my copy for a very reasonable price.
My guess is that he signed all Blue's with jersey number, then when he was signing the Black's, he noticed that there are too many cards so he skipped the jersey number.

I actually think that many players nowadays do that too.

So, I've been a player collector and set builder, but I think I'm going to focus mostly on building sets now. I've been following this thread for a while and I'm really grateful that it exists. I'll post some of my current set needs below. I prefer to trade, but I'm willing to buy. I would prefer to pick up base cards in lots rather than one or two at a time.
