Lol, for what? The 6th round pick the took him with?
He will get cut unless he beats Dobbs in camp, man.

If teams want a young QB, they can just make an offer to Mac Jones or Jameis or Mariota or others for vet minimum.

Nobody wants Milton any more than they want Trey Lance, Zach Wilson, Trask, Drew Lock, Cooper Rush and the cother rusty FA QBs out there right now.

Lol. I'm sure he will beat out Hurts in a preseason 600yds + 8TD surprise.

You're asking the word "young" to do an awful lot of heavy lifting in that sentence, bro....

It's a pretty good deal for Texans. They gain a lot of picks. Not much gain 2025, but quite a lot for 2026.

Tunsil is 31 before the start of the season, and he's had injuries.

For Washington, this is ok at best... good player, but getting old and little use for his main strengths. Tunsil is a pass blocker primarily. He'd be a lot stronger on Rams, Vikings, Fins, Bengals, etc than Commanders. Washington runs a lot - even on pass plays. They have a QB who is hard to get to and can extend plays. Why get a 31yo guy whose strengths you don't even need? I don't get it.

It's like Washington was the place to dump overpaid and aging players when Dan Snyder was there... and it still is. Sad.

Washington threw the ball on 52.58% of plays

Lol, they were supposedly going to win with WRs last year.
Before that, it was Fields had weapons.
Same joke, different year. (it is a tough divi)

I can't wait to bet on the under of 2025 wins for the Bears (8.5?) and Washington (10.5 or 11?). Easy money.... I think I've hit Bears 3 or 4 years in a row now.

Bottom 10 in NFL... what's your point?

I said they're run heavy... yet just paid a lot for a good pass block guy who's getting old. Glad you agree.

It’s over 50% of the time

They need pass blocking

You’re literally proving how important pass blocking is

LB/edge Khalil Mack re-signs with LAC for 1yr/$18M, all guaranteed.

Not good news for KC and Denver.

Pretty good vet and destructive player who will be HOF.
I thought he may leave to ring chase for his last few years, but maybe he thinks Chargers are on the cusp with Harbaugh... and maybe they are?

Happy with the Broncos signings today. Hoping we go all in on offense in the draft.

I’m cool with the Tunsil trade. 19 penalties. Drive killer

Yeah, anytime you can get a 2nd and 3rd round pick (and a bit more) for an ageing and high paid guy, that's a win.

yeah but are the Texans really throwing in the towel on this roster?

I see what they're going... Diggs is gone. Tunsil is gone. Mixon has 1 year left before they can cut him.

Trying to right size the cap before it's time to pay CJ. But at the expense of his 3rd NFL season? In his 3rd season Mahomes won a Super Bowl, Burrow had already been to a Super Bowl, Hurts was in the Super Bowl.

Risky move with some mid round picks

Maybe a bit. They have no healthy WRs. Tunsil was ageing.
I don't know what they can really do at this point aside from develop weapons and save for CJ extension.
Tunsil would've be worth almost nothing in trade or of play quality in a couple years (and he'd still be wanting a big money re-sign as FA also).

They will probably win their terrible division almost by default, but they won't ever do much more than WC or divi round in the AFC playoffs.

They need to re-tool and get younger (mainly just healthy) for OL and pass-catchers, RB.

I'd assume they go OL (maybe RB?) with that trade's 3rd rd pick 2025 and maybe the 2nd round 2026 also.
Washington's picks in next draft (Texans gain Wash 2nd rd + 4th rd 2026) could be fairly high if Dallas is back to form...
Commanders are everyone's darling now, but I honestly doubt they make playoffs.

But yeah... Texans playing a fairly riskly long game, I agree.
I think Mahomes and Allen and Burrow and Harbaughs and Payton/Nix etc in the conference forces that?

Dobbs to the Patriots, bet they trade Joe Milton. Would LOVE to see him hook up with Sean McVey

Yeah, that one's top of the page.

I don't think Milton has any trade value (or NFL value) outside of ppl who have his cards and want them to be worth something?
You probably like him as he was UTenn alum, and that's fine.
He was a purely experimental NFL pick in the late rounds. Most teams only saw him as a TE tryout. Maye has turned out pretty well also.

Do you think JM3 has trade/roster value, in the NFL?
(when guys like ARodg, Mac Jones, Russ, Cousins, Mariota, Winston, Wentz, Brissett, Zappe, ZWilson, TLance, etc etc etc sit unsigned)
I think he's a definite preseason cut, or he could possibly be QB3 again on practice squad or if Pats choose to carry three.

Didn't you see Milton's start in the last game of the season? He has tantalizing upside. He was great in the pre season too. I think teams that are in a rebuild would rather take a shot on him having seen him do it against NFL players then most guys in this years draft. Reports are Pats are already shopping him and want to trade him somewhere he can continue to develop. Rams would be a good fit. I think he could compete for the job in a team with a bad QB situation like Steelers, Browns, Giants, Jets etc
