And I think that's my point here. Klay is a big name, but at this point he's more of a strong complimentary player than he is a main piece.

My point is the same. If this was the Cavs instead of the Mavs? I’d be totally fine with this signing if it was LeBron and Kyrie and you paid JR (Klay) to do this

Did you watch him play last season? The idea of Klay is much better than the guy on the court in 2024.

I'm glad the Warriors didn't re-sign him (saying this for like the 3rd time) despite the fun idea of him/Dray/Steph all retiring as Warriors. Guy got his feelings hurt. Oh well.

JR Smith was a key piece to the Cavs 2016 Finals run. Not sure that's talking down about him, just right sizing some of the hype out there.

Celtics ownership has put the team up for sale. Going to be interesting how much they get. They paid 360 milllion and probably going to get close to 8 billion? They have to get at least twice the Suns price. All these contracts will be a drop in the bucket for whoever buys the team now.

76ers have McCain + 4 other first round picks to acquire more veteran talent if need be.

Not a strawman and not taking a shot at the Sixers so cool it on the emotion. Mavs just gave a third of what pg got for klay. I’ll take 3 klay caliber players over 1 pg. it’s an overpay. Pg is a great add for the Sixers but not at that price. That’s all I’m saying. If the Sixers couldn’t have done better bringing in other pieces then so be it. But Joel and maxey can carry the scoring load. You get 3 other pieces and it makes the team much deeper then what pg brings. And I’m talking pg playing most of seasons he’s there and that’s very wishful.

What's your guess? I heard someone say the Lakers would be over 10 billion right now if they decided to sell. Boston isn't as big of a market as LA but it's probably the most prestigious franchise in the NBA. The Suns were worth 4 billion a few years ago and they are the Suns. Celtics should be at least double that. It's going to be some global conglomerate with a bottomless ammount of money that will end up buying it so they'll get a lot.
