BO already dropping their prices. Probably realized they jacked the prices up too high, too fast as I don't even think breakers were making money off current prices which in today's market drives box prices probably more than anything.

I don't know F1 as much as some here, but I know enough. The market is just saturated with new release boxes right now. Zero chance a hobby box of anything stays at $1,000 when there are $50,000+ cards in the product. And many, many $10,000+ cards. You have to let the market settle before it can rise.

Anyone order from Topps Germany and have their orders just stagnate after the "your shipment will be transported to the destination country" step on DHL's site? I feel dumb asking this, but haven't had overseas shipments from DHL and am trying to estimate a timeline. It's been in that step since 3/16. Just trying to set some realistic expectations. Thanks and sorry for the annoying question!

Agreed- I have opened 9 hobby boxes in the last few days. Pulled an auto I've already sold for $1,000+, pulled a (very) low number checker rookie that is worth $1,000+, pulled another numbered auto that is $1,000+, and then a low number auto that is likely $3,000+. Not to mention the various numbered/checker cards in those boxes. There are high value/monster cards lurking in those boxes and you have to think that will drive prices higher eventually.

Indeed. One of my factors in determining value is what I call "product coverers". When I am opening how likely is it to pull something that single handily cover what I am opening? Your example is not out of the ordinary. Almost half of your boxes had a single card that paid for the entire box. And that is without pulling what I call a true monster. There is just too much potential in these for them to fall. I love it when a product like this comes out. Clear cut winner IMO.

I'm interested to see how much of 2021 Dynasty there is and what the price point will be at release as you can't find it anywhere now. Glad I got my cases at $6k and then they spiked to $15k the next day but at a certain point you have to think. $15k on a case of Dynasty for 5 F1 On Card Autos (1 a principal likely) or do I buy a case of Chrome?

I know which one I am picking and it for sure isn't the product with sticker autos and a 1 in almost 400 box chance at getting a Lewis auto.

More than value, I think it's a big factor when it comes to box prices.

A lot of people ripping are gamblers. The bigger the potential hits, the more expensive the boxes - even if the ROI is lower compared to other releases.

This stuff will continue to be a hit with breakers because of the massive $$$ potential hits. Supply will diminish and up she goes.

Depends on the service level. If it isn't international express then there won't be frequent (at least daily) movement of the package. Also DHL has a cheaper postal option that gets handed off to the postal service and is much much slower with spotty tracking updates.

Thank you for that explanation, Pacmeyer! I really do appreciate it. I imagine it’s the lowest service level, as there was only one option available when checking out. Thanks again.

No problem. My package from Germany (not Topps) which was the postal DHL cost 20 euro compared to 30-50 euro for express. If it's postal, it will be handed off to USPS before customs clearance. Tracking unfortunately may not get any better. My package went from inbound into customs to out for delivery a couple weeks later.

You are very kind for sharing your experience. Mine must be the lower service level because USPS is going to handle the package once it hits the states. It's just nice having an expectation of when it might arrive. I'll give it a couple more weeks. I appreciate ya!

Looks like Fanatics is canceling some of the F1 orders. Not sure if it is hobby or lite or both.

If you have watched any of the case breaks they are pretty brutal vs last years breaks.

From what I have watched every case is loaded with F2 drivers auto and refractor wise with maybe 1 F1 low number refractor or auto per case.

I've seen quite a few Lite breaks and the few breakers I follow are getting about $10.5k per Lite case. They're making plenty of money breaking that sku. I haven't done the math on hobby breaks though.

Interesting, which breakers?

The last Lite case although it was broken up into 4 4 box breaks only made $4500 on 2bros before Ebay fees. That was pretty surprising to see and quite a difference then.

AMT Memorabilia's last Hobby break was around $14500 before Ebay fees so they are barely making current case price value at that price.

There are a few I watch. Let me wait for new break postings to confirm price. I don’t want to be wrong and double-down on an incorrect statement without seeing some new ones first. That wouldn’t be fair of me.

Just opened what will be my only box because of prices. Only got this one cause I had a good sale AND got 20% off the one box from Mercari. Ecstatic of course, I know what you’re thinking. Sweet Eggington! I know right!
