Agree with this. One time, I ordered a Chrissie Hynde signed CD. They proactively reached out to me to let me know they found out the signature wasn’t authentic after they had shipped it out. They asked what I wanted to do and set up the return for me as soon as I received it. Top notch.

I’m fine with this. Those who truly care will appreciate the extra time and cost and those who just want an sig can still spend the usual amount. Seems like a win-win.

It’s worse when they put sigs only in a limited edition or premium price tier, effectively charging market rate to start.

True, but will this snowball into other retail places now. Will it become "hard-sign is premium" and book-plate is standard. Not really interested in my B&N stocking two variations at different pricepoints.

I guess as long as they don't go full Panini capitalism we'll be okay.

They put on a great show! I heard them for the first time when they played with Mew way back in the day and they blew my mind. After the show, we went to the bar that was connected to the venue and all of Kasabian showed up. We sat around talking music with them for like 3 hours, they were genuinely awesome people.
