It’s funny how there seems to be a Now / Living rivalry brewing...I currently enjoy both products but with the lack of stars, condition issues and insane print runs if I had to pick it wouldn’t be Now that I gave up. Actually debating even buying Living this week...

Happy to have 60 Gleybers ordered. Hopefully they will be as nice as my Albies and not as bad as my Acunas.

Side note: I think any value in Now is the very first rookie shield of a young player. The subsequent rookie shield cards will all take a back seat to the first. If there are 5+ Torres, Soto, Andujar Now cards, I bet on the first.

I have a /199 auto of Acuna and Torres coming but even those will take a while to appreciate. Certain guys are worth the wait.

IMHO,

That and the shortest printed one...I mean if it's a big difference. Also something that might have meaning but yes the 1st Appearance is the best normally.

I don't see any value in Now in general beyond just enjoying the cards. I'm only in it for the COTM and MOTW once my team reserve is used up.

I seem to remember there being a thread for this debate, yet it keeps coming up here

Just like I don't see any value in Living but I collect them because they are kind of cool and the "in" thing but honestly way over printed if you ask me.

Quite a few are... but only 2,678 Sets can ever be completed. And with all the grading it's even lower..2,662 before more POP on PSA and Beckett.

Thanks - I've adjusted my signature to reflect this!

The POP report went nutty again...

Up to 975

Panik added another 10 - 5 now

Castellanos added a few more - 18 now

Happ adds another - 2 now

Markakis added 2 - 3 now

Judge up to 113 and Ohtani is at 177

Got my 100 Albies today and they are awful.

Print spots, strange print "haze" on tops of card (Ichiro cards had same problem).

Bottom right (black) corners inconsistent.

I would hesitate to call a lot of these nm-mt.

I don't expect gem mint cards, but the print defects are unacceptable.

What a real buzzkill.

I had picked out 32 of 300 Acunas to grade and I think 10% for grading is a reasonable expectation. I was hoping to work towards a PSA 10 set by selling off graded extras.

If Gleybers are not better my approach will change.

It is likely going to jump a bunch for the next while. I have about 100 popping in the next week or so.

It seems only the RC's and stars are going up quick. I have a feeling it will be the scrubs that will be tough to get in PSA 10 as not all that many are being graded.

As I expected grading is pretty tough on these for a new card. Hitting at about 60% overall. I assume everyone who sent in cards looked them over good and still only hit at 60% on average. High grades are going to be tough on some.

Acuna will likely be the easiest as there is sooo many out there.

Fun to watch though.

Prices seems to be dropping a bit on ohtani, Jeter , acuna 10s. Not surprising bc of the high POP you mentioned. Happ 10 didn’t seem to last long. I saw it listed for a bit and then it was gone. I think it was a $499 BIN

With thousands of even the scrubs, I don't think it will be any issue getting a PSA 10 from any card.

I would agree, but the printing/shipping issues of the early sets may play a part in limiting the 10s.

For you resellers out there: Are PSA slabs selling better than BGS?

Finally got around to unpacking my Week 9 bundles. 3 boxes. All missing Ichiro.

Good grief...
