Yep, good price even after taxes (which for me is 10% and shipping it ran closer to $325/box for me).
Still good, but if flipping sealed you would have needed closer to $400 on eBay to break even (since they charge fees on taxes etc), and at the time of shipment it was not quite there. I ripped mine. Great cards. Good fun.

And the race down starts! LOL. First few listings on EBay were 900-1000 then a couple "need to pay the credit card" listers immediately down to 700. Good luck on this one but I'll be skipping.

Why do people always assume this? I understand that it is for a lot of people, but if I was still in this club I would flip it for $700 all day long and I have zero problem with capital. These will not be selling for $700 for a bit. So if anyone can get out from underneath a purchase with that big of a ROI in an hours time, why wouldn't they? (assuming the goal is financial gain) I mentioned this in another thread, but people pay money to financial advisors that aim for 10% annual returns. Yet someone makes twice that return in a small amount of time with cards all you hear is "not worth my time" or "they must have to pay their credit cards". Maybe the people making these comments aren't as wise as they think themselves to be. There are a lot of douchey people in this hobby, but there are also a lot of smart financial minds that destroy the returns of any 401k you can put your money into. And that is 100% a factual comment.

There is all kinds of data. Just not from this specific product yet since its new. Use the regular Draft release trends, and also the correlation of previous years products in the Draft family. You can get a really good idea of where the product will land in the open market. Also, as I mentioned above, if you are in the Montgomery Club, and have the funds to purchase a box I have no idea why you wouldn't do that. Its free money, and the reason most people have the membership. For value.

A few thoughts.
1 - I have a decent career and zero debt. I am collector first and this price point is awful. 2 - I hate the whole breaker industry, but this price point only makes sense for breakers and incentivizes MC members to sell. 3 - MC ended up being a great "value" this year. As much as people complain about it, it was very easy to rip some product and sell enough product for more than make your money back. I will be back in 2025 (if offered again). |

This product is tremendously overpriced....
Until the guy from "Filth breaks" is yelling at you telling you that YOU need to spin the wheel to hit Jac Caglia-no-nay because he's going to hit 80 home runs this season and that guy before you just asked if Shohei Ohtani is in the product. |

I bought a box to flip, it will be the first product I bought from my MC membership that I won't be ripping. Figured I should be able to get at least $575 for it and make an easy $100

450 a box is coconuts. For 32 cards of guys who no one’s ever heard of and most of whom won’t even reach the bigs. This hobby has a big problem if people continue to buy this stuff

$450 is nuts. Fractionalize that price from a breaker and people still eat it up. $450 is only $15 per team with no markups or fees calculated in. It’s the world we live in. Most stuff isn’t opened by individuals anymore. That is why the market still makes sense. Even though it’s breakers that puts it there. It’s still the market.
