I took futures on Barty and Swiatek. Barty got screwed. Her quadrant has a lot of good players. Someone loves Serena, giving her a number one pick. A lot of mid-level talent in that quadrant but to the best of my recollection (I don't have the draws in front of me), not another top 10 player in Serena's quad.

Osaka got an easy draw too. BiBi is the number one there. I just feel that there could have been a better dispersion amongst the 1/2's.

The ones should have been, in my opinion: Barty, Swiatek (big believer in the defending champion always getting a number one), Svitolina and Sabalenka.

The two's should have been Osaka (who hasn't played well of late on clay), BiBi, Serena and Pliskova.

Halep is hurts and Kenin has played uninspired tennis.

To answer your question more succinctly: I took futures on Swiatek and Barty. +400 on Barty is absurd for how well she has played on clay this year.





For the men, I took futures on Nadal (a big bet that I hedged with the following), Djokovic, Zverev, Tsitsipas (who also got screwed on his draw), and Medvedev.

Betting against Nadal at RG is a fools bet. 100-2 record all time there. Bet against him at your own peril. The men are a bit easier to pick because it's best of five. The cream usually rises to the top in majors. Most, MOST major winners in Mens tennis you could see coming from a mile away.

If you’re betting anyone outside of Halep, the smartest money is on Bertens and Plitskova.

Some good value bets for players to make quarter/semi are Barty, Swiatek, Kvitova, Svitolona. Those 7 are probably all In the top 10 clay court players.

My money is only on Halep, Bertens, and Swiatek.





I don’t heavily bet Roland Garros Men’s because anyone other than Nadal is wasted money and Nadals odds requires wayyyy too much risky money for me. I usually take $50 and spread it across 5 guys with good odds and a good pathway in case nadal has injury or slip up.

There’s just not a lot of solid men’s clay players, I feel like a lot of them don’t even practice it and phone it in- the way some nascar drivers do on road courses. But I guess I’ll be tapping guys like Novak, Thiem, Tsitsipas, Cilic, Zverev.

Yeah, also, the smart money in the French for the women is Barty at +400. She got screwed and got a crappy draw, but if you don't want to pay the premium on last years win by taking Swiatek, Barty has been playing some really inspired clay court tennis.

I have been riding the knicks for a while. They made me a bunch of money this season. However, they look terrible in the playoffs. Julius Randle forgot that he was good and it seems he doesn't know what to do when double teamed. Not that I do, I am a fat guy that sits on the couch and talks to the TV like I could do a better job when, in fact, I know I absolutely cannot.

I had the knicks today on the ml. Had them in game three and game one as well. Pretty much done with the knicks for this year. RIght in time for their season to be over.

Meh it was a rough night, but ended up barely positive, the suns ML helped. I really thought the Knicks would fight hard and put in one more really close loss and then not have the heart left for game 5 and hawks would win by 15.

The mavs pick was just a bad one that’s on me.

I had stopped betting for a while and got back in for the occasional bet I’d like. Well then the playoffs started and i started messing with parlays, hit a $710 win off a single game parlay with the nuggets, (thank goodness it went 2OT) and also a $360 win off another $10 parlay bet. Pretty fun when the parlays hit!

Great opportunity for the likes of Sabalenka, Kvitova, Andreescu to make a run to the finals. Even Svitolina and Kenin have relatively easy runs to the finals in their portions of the bracket.

Since it's sports betting thread - what do you think about EURO 2020? Personally, I have no idea who will win after quarantine. As I see - Spain is very unstable last matches. I don't know why these guys are so confused, but betting on Spain, it's like playing on mobile slots or casinos. Otherside, Belgium is doing well last time. Their squad is strong enough to win the competition, but the teamplay could be better. Or maybe we will see another Leicester City in the world of national teams. Iceland, for example, or Romania.

I had five futures. Nadal, Novak, tsitsipas, zverev and medvedev. I’m going to absolutely crush it on the men’s French. The women? I ended up $80 in the red.

I finally had a monster night…

Hit a $25 parlay that paid $1,825 and then won another $1,300 on other bets! Woohoo!

These same game parlays screw on the odds, but I have had a few hit. Go Clippers!!!
