Other people have been willing to sacrifice for you and your community. They've fought for your rights, paid taxes that paved roads you drive on, volunteered to make your community better in many ways...and they did it because they thought they were part of your community.

So, if they didn't attend your church, live in your town, or share your DNA, they were suckers...unworthy of your attention, gratitude, or respect. They weren't your community. They were outsiders. Eff them.

Okay. I understand.

Yeah, there's lots we don't agree upon.

I don't think your the worst human ever. And I respect that you care about the people closest to you. But, I guess I disagree with your dismissal of everyone else, some of whom sacrificed for you.

It's cool though. They're not your people. Got it.

It certainly is.
Mel Gibson's father, Hutton Gibson, was Catholic.
Read up on him if you're unfamiliar.
Despite sharing a religion, he and Biden may as well have been from different planets.

Jared Kushner trending on twitter for 'deleting' all his tweets after Trump's tax news broke.

Last time he tweeted was about a decade ago. Why doesn't twitter ever add a clarification under trends like this one?

You describe "them" as suckers. Not me. I've not said these people are anything other than Americans, like me. I respect their choices and they are free to do as they wish. So am I.

I'm 36 years old, father of two, with responsibilities to many. Forgive me of taking care of that and not focusing on the virtue signaling that you seem adament about this evening.

This is the second time, that the Biden team has put an ad together in just a few hours; after a news story broke of Trump.

Or is it?

Fair enough. We can agree to disagree. That's part of being Americans too.

I didn't come into this thread to get angry or to argue. I'm actually not sure why I came, lol, but it wasn't for that.

It's time for us to let this go. You do you, I'll do me, and that's that.

Have a nice evening.

One element that hasn’t been addressed in this exchange is that if we all took care of our own, were considerate to others, and lived the best life we could while not harming others in the process, a lot of problems would go away on their own. I help my parents, other relatives, and friends, and they help me sometimes too. Build a network, contribute to the network, don’t screw anyone else over in the network.

I try to approach life like it’s a game. There are rules that sometimes change (laws), you cannot lie or cheat to advance your position, you must be considerate to others, and beyond that you do your best based on your starting position and environment. You can’t control your starting position or the rules but have liberty to play the game however you want as a means to achieve whatever you want.

I went down this road with this guy with exactly this some time ago.
It's good of you to try to illustrate the bigger picture, but it's wasted on Chapmans, unfortunately. Maybe someone else will benefit from it.
That's usually my hope.

Does this really add up to you? Does it reallllyyyyyyy? You ever see One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest? The gentlemen in that movie can tell you this is shady.

The Hill's excerpt:

Trump reportedly made hundreds of millions from his work and related licensing on “The Apprentice" over the years, which was apparently invested back into Trump Organization businesses. But the Times analysis of Trump’s finances finds those businesses have continued to lose millions, resulting in Trump avoiding payments on income taxes while earning millions from “The Apprentice” due to losses at other businesses.

The Times reports that Trump’s tax records show $47.4 million in losses in 2018, despite Trump announcing in a financial disclosure that he made at least $434.9 million.

Other details revealed by the Times include that the Miss Universe pageant was most profitable under Trump and generated $2.3 million for him as a co-owner of the pageant.

Trump Organization tax records also show, according to the Times, that between 2010 and 2018 it wrote off around $26 million in unexplained “consulting fees.” The amount of consulting fees claimed as tax deductions for hotel projects in Vancouver and Hawaii matches the amount of income Ivanka Trump reported, more than $747,600, from a consulting company she co-owned, according to the Times.

Also revealed in Sunday's report was the at least partial scope of Trump's overseas dealings, long a target of government ethics organizations due to concerns that foreign investors could seek to curry favor with the president through his businesses. At least $73 million was made abroad by the Trump Organization during the first half of Trump's term, according to the documents.

Lol you clearly have no idea how business or taxes work.

Let me make it really simple for you. If you have a lemonade stand that makes $50 in profits one summer. Then you open a hot dog stand and loose $50 you netted $0 in profit therefore you owe $0 in taxes. Nothing earth shattering in any of this news.

How exactly does one get by when your losses continue to be greater than your income?

I'm unfamiliar with this business model.

I find it baffling yet hilarious at the same time when guys like you stick up for your kult leader.

From writing off 70k+ for his haircuts to writing off 2 million+ on his investment home (which was really a personal residence) to....and the list goes on. This grifter has sent this country back due to his policies, corruption, and overall poor leadership and yet, you, still support the guy.

Btw, it’s lose; not loose.

Did President Donald Trump lose millions of dollars from bad business deals?

President Trump is a loose cannon.

These losses for federal tax purposes which allow for tons of right offs for corporations. Have you heard that Amazon makes billions but pays almost no federal taxes - that is because they lost soo much money for years have all of these carryforward losses.

I'm going to assume you have no tax background and like most people think these are big deals. There are 1000s of legal tax laws that allow for you to have company after company to reduce taxes as pass thru. Guess what you can even hire family to be paid out of those companies as employees and consultants - this done all of the time. People really have no clue how corporate taxes work and why big companies pay so little in taxes but since it is Trump it is all wrong.

At Trumps rally in Harrisburg over the weekend, 14% Democrat and 13% haven't voted in years. Just thought that was interesting.

As for taxes, I don't care what someone pays or doesn't pay as long as it is within the law. Don't like what's going on, change the law.

Pretty sure I have some posts from preseason where I mock the idea of the Heat being a playoff threat.

Nailed it.
