Why is there people upset about Mike Clevenger? In what world would you keep a guy who is going to be coming off about 18 months of not pitching? Personally see no reason for this pick and negative reason for people to be like disappointed they didn’t get him.

Because in an NL only league where pitching is valued si highly...even at like 50% next year he is a great value in round 18!! Lol

Well it’s not round 18, it’s 15.

There is less then 1% chance he is kept.

Ok ill play devils advocate for clev. Assuming your team doesn't get crushed with IL where you can let him ride the IL. If you are doing well he is a valuable trade piece for a team that doesnt have keeper options and would trade a great player but isnt worth the keeper round (or is a first rounder) thats about all i can think of tho

Go look at the keepers that were kept this year...I would keep Clevinger in rd15 going into next year over plenty of the guys kept this year...

“Valuable” is being used very loosely here. We only keep 2 players, so keeper value isn’t really a big deal.

I doubt anyone is going to make a trade with clevenger as the main piece back and he be a keeper.

Zero % chance he gets kept. And <0% Someone trades for him as a keeper

I get the “theory” but in a league with so few keepers, he isn’t going to be a good one.

Let's say the situation happened last year...and you had the choice between Clevinger coming back this year as ur 15th rounder...

Or...

Keeping Adam Wainwright in round 16...(which you actually did)

You think all 12 owners in this league keep Wainwright!?!?!? No shot!!

That's a real example that is obviously plausible to happen next year...

If my team was to suck this year...I can't keep Buehler as a rd1...maybe won't want to keep Nola as my 1st next yr...and don't have too many guys who have a good year...u think just taking a shot and hoping that a once pretty good pitcher gets even close to back to his form in rd15 is some awful choice...get out of here with that...

Wainwright was nice in the short season...but he is 40yrs old and more likely to be below avg...gimme the guy 10+ yrs younger who can be elite or close to it

Literally I pick Clevinger over Wainwright every single time
