maybe , just maybe . what he is doing is incredible . even if he only does it for 2 or 3 seasons ? it will always be remembered. i personaly dont think he will be able to do this for too long .

Had this card stored away since April 2018 when I bought it off an Ebay seller. I got motivated last weekend and packed it up.

While it’s true that this timeframe is probably atypical because I am in So. Cal., the whole process — post office dropoff to post office pickup — took parts of only 6 days (7/12 to 7/17). Total with insured registered USPS shipping to PSA and all grading fees/taxes was just a few bucks under $400 for just this one card.

I’m pleased with these grades and feel they are absolutely fair after I made a close examination prior to submitting. The card has tremondous eye appeal to me and I’m happy it’s finally encapsulated. More than anything right now I’m blown away at the ridiculous speed in which I have the graded specimen back in-hand.

Such an exciting matchup today as a Japanese fan.
The high school senpai (senior) Kikuchi vs. kouhai (junior) Ohtani.

And while Kikuchi gave up base clearing 3 RBI hit to Fletcher just now, he has been pitching really well this season.

He's seemed a little lost at the plate since a couple games before the All Star break, even though he hit a couple homers in those games. Definitely not locked in like he was the couple weeks prior.

This is the ongoing Shohei challenge. Staying locked in as a hitter and also staying sharp as a pitcher. It's supremely hard to do, that's why every single MLB player has been in awe of him.

I for one expect cold streaks and believe Shohei will figure it out. I sold a decent amount of my Ohtani overflow during the last run. I'm now starting to look for deals in case people start panicking and hitting the sell button as you are indicating. More than happy to pick my spots and add to the breadth of my Shohei collection.

If you are on a tight budget, I wouldn't "invest" in his cards now, especially if it's not RC.

His card prices are already crazy high, and while as a fan I would like to see them go further up, I feel like it has come to a dangerous territory as to buying into them for future selling opportunities.

Its been a hectic week for me as I packed up my life and moved everything down to socal from the bay area.

My first mail day was waiting for me

Not the boldest of autos but glad to get a PSA slabbed one. Can't believe I waited this long to add one to the PC. Back when they were under $1k I would tell myself they were too expensive and got Pajama RC autos instead.

Over the last couple weeks I sold some mid end Ohtani RCs that I was into for about $200 from way back and basically upgraded into this guy.

Still holding most of my rarer Ohtani RCs

I am not good at determining shills, but clearly there has to be something fishy about that one right?

The bidder that drove it to $30(ish) seems fishy, but their are two bids beyond that look reasonable to me.
