Max Clark is an appropriate player to be featured on the box. Believed his own hype too much and has failed to produce.

Looooool it will sell out. But at $429.99 there's no meat on the bone. 29 subjects in the prospect autograph checklist, of which about 1/3 are interesting. Walker would be the only great hit, with Crews not far behind. There's some intriguing names like Miller, Lombard, Nimmala, but none in that top tier. So 1:15 chance at hitting a big auto.

And if I'm flipping, I need to clear $460+ after taxes, which means I'm going to need to sell this for $500+ to break even on Facebook, or $600+ on Ebay with fees.

Seems like a lot of effort for a waste of time.

Probably blame 23 Bowman Draft Sapphire for this price. Try finding a box for under $1,000.

Gambled and got one…will see if rip or hold. One auto per box is a change vs 23.

I'd rather buy 2019 Bowman Draft Sapphire, for cheaper mind you.

For those passing, there's multiple buyers offering $50 on top of the shipped price.

Might as well move the box to reduce your overall Montgomery 582 Club Membership cost.

I don't think the price is that bad given the way these will be sold by breakers. Heck, it's actually pretty good. It's a horrible unconscionable price for ripping though.

On what platform? With fees and taxes it will need to be more than that

Yeah, I don't think it will be hard to find a breaker or two who are looking to snap these up.

Once I splurged and bought one box of The Cup from Upper Deck.

People were like "Oh yeah you can't open this and if you do, you gotta buy a case."

On that day I learned that "great value unless you plan to open it" assessments are just a level of gambling outside my budget.

Honestly, you can find such buyers (typically breakers) on any platform.

I sold my box for $520.83 F/F with the box being shipped to the buyer's address ($470.83 for the box, $50 for me) within minutes of posting my allocation for sale in a FB group.

It's not because I just moved my box. Even had a "back-up" buyer.

Screw it, I just bought a box. I like this product's 1st Bowman class more than most but I'm planning on taking this one right in the keister. My Phantom Menace case was good. Maybe this will be the box that bucks the odds. Regardless, I'll rip and post the results (good, bad or awful).

Agreed. ~$475 outlaid is too much for me to try to find and negotiate with a buyer, eat some fees, package and ship, and hopefully make $30, all for an asset that has significantly less underlying value, seems like a lot of trouble.

Pretty sad that this price gouging will continue all because people need to make $50 on a box.

I mean, it's not that opportunity driving the sales, it's quite obviously whoever is willing to pay that over retail ...

Group breakers.

Unless Biggie tells us otherwise.

It’s not the person making the $50/box that’s the problem. It’s that he has a buyer who doesn’t care about a slightly higher price because they can pawn off the cost on degenerates that are bad at both math and value. Without “breakers” and their lemmings this whole thing falls apart. If the buyer is the person opening the box a lot fewer would take the risk.
