What should the Thunder do from here?

Accumulating assets is the easiest thing for a GM but spending them is actually hard.

They have 100 picks in the next 5 years but they are totally devoid of talent minute Shai, Giddey, and depends on how you feel about Dort.

Who would be a realistic FA/Trade target?

I feel good about Dort.

They've locked up Shai which is good!

Lock up Dort and Roby as they're good complimentary pieces.

They're sitting on 5 first round picks (Detroit, Atlanta, LAC, PHX, and their own) for 2022. Detroit wont convey but Atlanta SHOULD.

I'd be looking at swinging something like this:

OKC:

Bazley
Poku
Detroit 1st rounder
PHX 1st rounder

NYC:

Randle
Robinson (who you subsequently throw money at)

I'm of the belief that NY wants to make a play at Zion and has good reason to believe they can land him. When Zion doesn't sign the rookie extension this year his fate is sealed in regards to leaving NOP.

I actually love this proposal.

Randle and Robinson would be a really solid front court for the Thunder and Thibs hates Robinson anyways.

If I'm OKC, I'm going to over pay for two guys that would fit their current mold:

Christian Wood and Pascal Siakam.

Send as many picks as needed to get deals done.

OKC has to overpay on guys and hope for the best.

Yea either way they need front court bigs who can score. Solid defenders help too but not easy to find.

I'm just happy that so many people are even discussing the Cavs and that I get to spend the holidays virtually with all of you.

If you read the last 2 pages you'll realize that I A. Get criticized for not making a Cavs thread, and B. Get criticized for making a Garland thread that doesn't get a lot of chatter.

So yea, I'm going to come here to talk Cavs in the thread where I can actually have a bit of a back and forth conversation about them. I'm sorry that some people don't like it, but I'm also glad that some do.
