Comical. His June was amazing. Too bad he won’t touch AL player of the month after what Ohtani did, though. Hopefully he can keep it rolling into July.

That would be the ultimate reason to stop fan voting, if Luis Robert is selected as a replacement due his performance alone.

With technology, it makes it feasible to include the media and players as part of the AS voting "starters" process.

Now Luis Robert waits to be selected by the manager, players and commissioner's office to even be in the game.

But yeah, he should be starting over anyone else including all those that were finalists in the fan voting.

Man, the amount of two out runs we give up is amazing. So many runner on first with two outs and then we give up 2 or 3 runs, pretty ridiculous.

Robert 3-5 with 2 runs, literally the only bright spot on the team. He can’t be happy with everyone around him messing things up but I don’t think he will demand a trade, maybe next season if nothing happens.

It's interesting how dead the card market is for this guy. 3.7 WAR and this thread is literally just two guys holding big Robert bags talking to each other. About to turn 26 and the bad injury history will do that I guess

Consider yourself lucky! Robert has been a stud this year and it doesn’t take him being a hobby darling for me to love it and root for him. Some have limited capacity to understand that joy can come and be shared without financial return/bragging rights on a baseball card forum.

Also—kudos to Robert for producing at a high level in the midst of the JR/Rick Hahn era—what’s become one of the worst run pro sports franchises of our lifetime.
