Just dug mine out, pulled from the local Target in 2018. At the time, the sentiment was “if only it had been Soto.”

Yep, bought one of mine for $100 on best offer. It's ironic, as the /25 orange from TC went for $7k just a week ago. Can't imagine the team color being THAT premium.

I said the same thing about the Ohtani Pinks I pulled. Man I wish that was Soto. I mean I still do wish it was Soto, but I am definitely not mad it was Ohtani.

I'm just really really glad I didn't sell my 2018 Ohtani Colorblast last year. Pulled it out of a box back then and it's just been simmering in my two row box ever since. Hard to believe it's selling for over 4k now

Totally agree! Wi5out his production on the field and I personally had no problem him bowing out I. The 1st round of the HRD against Soto. He put on a show and improved his stock with non-collector fans. Soto also needed to win against him because, well there is a lot of money in his stuff. Lol

Barring injury and if he keeps hitting and pitching he's almost a lock for MVP for the next 5 years.

Yes, the Ohtani market is pulling cash out of other players right now that's a fact. But the whole baseball market is growing now BECAUSE of Ohtani as well, so I'd heartily disagree with "not a good thing for the overall health of the market." Don't know about anyone else here but I'm taking my Ohtani profits and driving the great majority of them into other players I believe in - and am able to go MUCH harder into those players than I would have been able to without the current Ohtani market.

But yeah, if you don't have any Ohtani to at least hedge the biggest unicorn/possible force the hobby has ever seen you may want to think about dipping your toe in!

I see very few good deals now. A lot of rocks have been turned over and the tide has risen on everything. Probably a good thing so I can stop searching everyday.

Yes the rising tide lifted everything and has even commenced me to send 10 cards to SGC that have high gem rate. Hoping for at least 8 of 10 on them being SGC 10. Pulled them all and they were in boxes. Could be a nice 3K windfall should they grade as they should.

Had some eBay bucks, so decided to pull the trigger tonight on a flagship paper PSA 10 before they skyrocket..... looks nice next to my RC Auto. Happy with my small Ohtani collection!
