I purchased a mystery ball of Carlos Santana from Mrs. Gomes on Friday.

Bauer was a beast last night. Since I'm having a beer and thinking crazy thoughts, what would a rotation look like of Kluber Salazar Carrasco Bauer Aiken if they all pitched to their potential?

The first 3 have all flashed #1 stuff in the bigs. I hope Bauer takes that step forward inconsistency.

Why do the keep giving Anderson chances? Has TJ House been that bad in AAA?

Thanks for helping me figure out who sold me mine! I never saw the back of her jersey, but looking her up, that's definitely who it was.

I think the odds of seeing those five all pitch together are very slim. Aiken is so far away that, for all we know, he may never been on the same 25-man roster as any of them. That's what's nutty about baseball!

TJ House has a 5.21 ERA in AAA; he's closer to being released than he is being called up.

I think the next "spot" start needed ought to go to Ryan Merritt if they use someone from AAA. Anderson just shouldn't be around for awhile, and Clevinger isn't ready. If it was up to me? We'd either see Shawn Morimando or Adam Plutko getting a shot if the need presents itself. They've both been very good in AA.

With the recent string of good drafts, it's nice the Indians are in a position to swing for the fences with players such as Aiken/Benson.

With pick #152, the Indians select Conner Capel, CF, Seven Lakes HS in Katy, Texas. The sun of former major leaguer Mike Capel, he is committed to the University of Texas.

They've put together some fantastic drafts in recent years, although I'm not as high on this one as the past couple. Hard to be too negative about anything with a chance to go for a four game lead tonight!

If Bryan Shaw is still on this team in a month I'm gonna be pissed. He has been ATROCIOUS this year and I have NO IDEA why Terry keeps bringing him in for big situations. They fought back to tie the game in the 9th and he coughed it up in the bottom of the 9th before you could even blink. And after he got rocked twice in Seattle! And repeatedly throughout the year! Give the ball to Otero or McAllister in the 8th and see what happens - get Shaw the hell off the team. He's been awful since minute one of spring training...

Seriously? Are you watching the same Brian Shaw? He's been garbage all year except for about a week in May. He's got an ERA north of 5, he's already coughed up 6 homers and has a WHIP over 1.5. He's been a disaster all year and cannot be counted on in any close situation.

But we all know how much Tito loves VETERAN GRIT. I am sure we will be seeing blow games for at least another couple months.

Hopefully now that Juan Uribe has less than or equal to the number of testicles as Lance Armstrong he'll be put out to pasture too. I'm sick of this "veteran leadership" crap. He's not gonna be a coach and he can't even hit his weight. No power, no patience, no on-base ability - why is he still playing?

I know we're in first place and life is good right now, but we need to start planning for a pennant race and the playoffs. Juan Uribe and Brian Shaw are not going to be part of that equation. Let Ramirez play 3rd, let Naquin play every day, and go get a bullpen arm.

Fun "release Bryan Shaw!" fact: removing his first four outings (in which he gave up nine of his fourteen earned runs in just two of those outings), Bryan Shaw has a 2.14 ERA. Before his previous two outings, he had given up just three earned runs in his previous twenty innings. Two bad outings very early in the season drastically skew his stats. Don't get me wrong, I don't trust him in high leverage situations after his season-by-season regression, but he hasn't been nearly as bad as the narrative.

Facts only. Oh, and I'm fine with letting Uribe go, although I would hate to leave Ramirez at third only. His versatility is his biggest asset. I would be okay with letting Yandy Diaz (or Urshela) get a shot at third base.

ERA for relievers is a very unreliable stat. It doesn't factor in inherited runners he let score, nor does it factor in the load he leaves for another reliever. Case in point - the 3rd game of the Tigers sweep. He left a HUGE mess for someone else to clean up, and Otero had to work extra hard in a bases loaded situation. No one scored, so Shaw didn't give up a run, but would you call that a successful outing? And how many other times has that happened? How much longer is he going to be put in those high leverage situations and either blow the game or leave a huge disaster for someone else?

He's completely unreliable. HR rate is up, walk rate is up, K rate is down, WHIP is up... he's posting the worst numbers of his career across the board.

2016 Yan Gomes is rather putrid at baseball.

FRANCISCO LINDOR Cleveland Indians ? Crave the Auto

For anyone who may be interested...prices don't seem too terribly bad, I'll be going to get my game-worn jersey done. If anyone is going (or wants something done but can't go), let me know. Always down to meet other BO members, or I can help get items signed.
