I figure if they come in cello, they stay in cello. I do unroll the ends though to allow them to breath easier.

Had a totally unexpected surprise today:

Smoked an Fuente Double Chateau. For a $6 stick, it was amazingly tasty and somewhat complex. It's been in my humidor for 4 months and the store owner said the box was close to 6-8 months old (she orders a HUGE amount at one time and keeps the extra boxes in her storage humidor or at home). It's got at least a year of age on it.

Hope to get some of the AF Sun Grown soon. I've never had a sun grown wrapper before. I do have some Padron 2000 natural and maduro along with a 1964 natural and maduro coming. Can't wait to try these, everyone praises them as amazing cigars for cheap (the x000 series especially).

I wanted to correct myself. I previously said Partargas Super Partargas, wrong! They're actually Partargas Aristocrats. Forgot my deal with the Supers fell through. Either way, awesome smoke.

Ive got to be selective on what to take with me to Iceland as my travel humidor only holds 10, well I guess I can take my 3 finger holder as well. Gonna def take an Ave Maria Reconquista and a Man O War Armada. Im excited to try some new smokes, ive only had 3 out of these 12 but have liked what ive tried from Man O War and Ave Maria.
i smoked through all of these since my trip and being back, they were all good and this is another solid sampler. i also picked up a my father and don pepin blue at charlotte's cigar club. the my father was pretty good and i havent tried the pepin yet, although its a 93 rated smoke. loving this time of the year, so nice to be outside and enjoying the weather.

That's what made me go for it, I had been wanting to try one. I expected a little bolder flavor but it was still good.

cigar.com is running their box bedlam sale. i picked up a box of ave marias. 20 box pressed beauties for $80 shipped. they normally sell them for $129. this may be turning into my favorite brand right now and i love aj fernandez blends.

Just got my full time job after working as a part time employee, but full time hours, for 5 years. I earn PTO faster, cheaper insurance, and no more whack ass schedule.

Celebrating with an Opus XXX

My Dude. So I went on this site and I wasn't really feeling anything. Good deals but nothing that I wanted to fully commit to at the prices.

Then I checked Cigar International to find some nice goodies. I ordered the following ten packs:

Perdomo Lot 23 Robusto + $20 GIFT CARD $39.99
Montecristo Churchill Extra $20 + GIFTCARd $49.99
Romeo y Julieta 1875 Bully Belicoso + $20 GIFT CARD $39.99
Gurkha Chairman's Select Perfecto + $20 GIFT CARD $34.99
Gurkha Black Ops Rubicon Torpedo + $20 GIFT CARD $29.99
CAO Brazilia Gol! + $20 GIFT CARD $39.99

And I got some Beef Jerky that my wife will eat.

I spent $235 and will hopefully be getting $120 in gift cards (if all works well).

I just had about 40% of an Alec Bradley white gold. The burns on these suck. The flavor us fine but I hate high maintenance cigars.

I enjoy a finely rolled maduro with a cup of coffee.

Go with the opus x. Both are winners though. I love that type of quality smoke.

Yup. Sometimes watching the world move around you is interesting. It was cool. This deer stomped its front hoofs a couple of times. For a moment, I Was wondering if it would charge.

Quinteros Favouritos: Paid $75 for a box of these from Oct 2013. For a "low end" Cuban, it was surprisingly good. Yeah, it's short filler, so expect a ton of transitions to different flavors. But what you get is a straight up Cuban flavor, mild-medium, with a hint of nicotine kick. Truly a daily smoke if I've ever had one if that's the flavor profile you like. I'm buying more soon. They still have a little "twang" to them, which I guess will disappear with more age.

East India Trading Company Habano: Absolutely disgusting. The burn was terrible, it wouldn't stay lit worth a darn. Tunneled like a mother. Tasted of acrid ass.

Camacho Corojo Maduro: Pretty good taste but again, couldn't keep it lit. Upon dissecting it there was a damn tree limb. I know veins and small woody pieces are normal and actually planned, but this thing was nearly 20% of the cigar width. Waste of a good cigar...

Padron 2000: If God himself crafted a budget cigar, this is it. I've smoked the natural and maduro now and they both are flawless. Both have their place in my normal rotation now. I'll be buying a box of maduro soon. Flavor transitions, perfect burn, little to no nicotine, what more can I ask for? Cheap too!
