Fall is Oktoberfest and Wisconsin is king for Oktoberfest beers.

Looking back through this thread....never did before. I see the banana bread beer. That does NOT sound like something I would like. Yuck (IMO).

Local to Boston is one that some of you may have had before....Trillium. They make amazing beer. A few favorites of mine (haven't tried too many at this point, but a few) include Fort Point (Pale Ale), Melcher Street (double dry hopped IPA) and Vicinity (Double IPA). If you're ever in Boston, look them up. You can pretty much only buy it there, to go, in 750 ml bottles or 32 or 64 oz growlers. The only exception would be in a few select restaurants.

From a bottle: Samuel Smith's Taddy Porter, Guinness Stout for back up.

Local Pump Station makes a nice brown called Kick Ass Brown.

Has anyone tried a sour beer? I've been hearing about this type of craft beer but haven't tried one yet.

I got this limited release when I was in Minneapolis recently. Average tasting Hefe but cool can to save. Not brewed with Wheaties I should add.

They're an aquired taste. I personally don't care for them - too intensely sour like childrens' candy. Buy a single from the mix-n-match six pack and try one without having to buy a six pack.

Just finally tried 'Be Hoppy' by Wormtown here in MA. Had seen/heard quite a bit about it, not the easiest to come by from what I understand. Very good beer; tons of aroma and flavor. It's a double IPA.
