Pick one. I'm down.

Don't pull out this time like your allegiance to the 58 year old prospect Thon.

The Raps announcers are .... hard to listen to.

Zion on a 20/15/5 trajectory tonight. Interesting dynamic in the last few minutes. If you notice, Siakam is getting tired, and Zion played him a couple times in the last few possessions. Great to see Zion in good condition.

Welp, nevermind on that. Pels on fire. Zion probably done.

Good first game. Pels look dangerous.

BI's night tonight.

Not prolific, but his usual hyperefficient 7-9 from the field. And he played much better defense.

Quality win over a quality team.

Really want to see them in the postseason this year.

Loved the defense and boards tonight, he’s already demonstrated his automaticity as a scorer. His old self looks like it’s shining through.

Loved the Pels performance as a whole tonight even more. I know the West is strong, but I would be legitimately surprised if they didn’t make playoffs this year.

Another big/tough test against the Heat this christmas. Man...if they also win that one convincingly...I'm all-in.

Keep winning Pels! Big man will have plenty of 30+ point nights this season. Their defense as a whole impressed me the most.

Grabbed Zion of Siakam in our fantasy league; and while it seems like Siakam was the safe choice; i think Zion will have quite the year. Hopefully Zion keeps up the defense this season and stays healthy.

Nice, efficient game and a double-double on opening night against a solid squad. I like that he can easily get into double figures with how efficient his scoring is... would be crazy to see his line if he put up 20+ attempts like a lot of the other alphas in the NBA.

Really encouraging win overall, especially being down for so long. Hoping for some Zion playoff action this season!

He needs to develop an outside shot to become an elite scorer. He only gets limited shot attempts because right now is game is one dimensional. Hopefully he will continue to expand his game in the future!! in the meantime, lets hope for some great highlights and some big scoring nights on national TV games

I agree - However, it seems like if they would feed him the ball in isolation and let him bully his way to the basket, he'd either finish or get fouled almost every time. I like that the Pels aren't that one-dimensional as a team, but Zion could certainly "bully and chuck-it" down the court 25 times a game and have similar numbers to the scoring leaders.

I agree though, if he could develop a bit of a shot outside of the paint his scoring would vastly increase. I like that he's handling the ball more and creating for himself this season. That was a weak area last season, so it's encouraging to see the improvement. He is only like 20 after all

I don't think so....not at this level against the bigger teams. Will be interesting against Bam tomorrow. I think zion in transition is his biggest mismatch. But in the halfcourt, I think his game is limited and his ceiling isn't that high without an outside shot.

Now Ja on the other hand.....

Not trying to be negative btw...I have a lot of zions as well and am 100% pulling for him. But with as much hype as he gets, it makes me nervous because he isn't a upper echelon NBA scorers with his skill set. But I HOPE I am wrong!

Numbers or no numbers .... Zion is the reason the Pels are a good team. He draws so much attention that there is always an open man, and NO has finally learned how to move the ball. FVV took the ball from Zion on a double-team early in the game, and the next time Zion had the ball they tried it again ... he immediately got rid of it.

Ingram looks better. With Zion drawing defenses to him, I would not be surprised to see him play the 1 at times. I believe we're potentially going to see less points, and more assists from Big Z, which will be fine. It might cause his card values to stumble a little, but I'm telling you ... the Pels are better than many people think. They look like a 42-win team.

And of course, against teams with no effective big, Zion is going to feast.

I collect and root for both Zion and Ja, so all good! Trust me, I understand and agree with the criticism against Zion as he certainly isn't perfect and has a long way to go. But, I certainly believe the extreme potential is there; it'll just be interesting to see if he continues to develop over the next few years.

Yeah, with BI as a legit threat it will turn into a 'pick your poison' type scenario. Zion obviously doesn't seem like a dude that is going to demand a ton of shots at this point in his career, and is willing to dump it off if nothing is available for him. I'd take a playoff run over inflated empty stats on a bad team, personally.

Agree with a lot of the above. Zion and BI will be a two headed monster that won’t be that easy to deal with. Plus, if they can have a shooting performance that resembles anything like what we saw last night, it will spread the defense out and open it up for Zion to take it to the rim. Very solid outing from the Pels.

What I like personally about Zion is that he is a HIGHLY efficient scorer. Unlike a lot of high volume shooters that can go cold, Zion’s athleticism isn’t going to disappear in a game. For as much criticism as Giannis receives about his shooting, this is why Giannis generally puts up such high scoring numbers on a nightly basis with very little fluctuation.
