He has looked terrible last few days flying open on his swing, so today was a much needed good day - especially the walk. Hope he takes it in the right direction. Not everything needs to be a home run, especially with how the angels are playing now..

Did I hear that he hit a game tying home run while the East Coast people like me were already asleep?
Well I don't mind as long as he is playing well!!

Ohtani having a good night so far, 2-2 with a walk and SB. I'm starting to think more and more that he should be a hitter only

I’ve been pro pitcher, but I seen this video earlier and now I’m not sure what I want.

Jesus that guy is a a world class athlete. I vote he move to a position player/setup man/closer. Being a starting pitcher in MLB is a full time job and will wear his body down. How awesome would it be to have your starting right fielder hit a game winning home run and then close the game out.

I think this is inevitable. He obviously moves really well for his size, but I expected some more eye-popping throws from an arm like his. Japanese players intentionally keep the ball down, but some of those throws were wayyyy down.

If he does move to a closer role how do all of you think that would that affect his hobby love? So much hype was built up around him being a front of the rotation starter

Your probably right and the hobby will abandon him. As a baseball fan I’d like to see it though.

On a side note I actually learned to play baseball in Japan. Your right on how they teach throws. I was taught to intentionally short hop it if meant more control.

I like the positive attitude and nice slabs. Keeping the long term faith with my favorite card and possibly my proudest collections feat! Does anyone know the PR on these?

I rooted for him to pick the Cubs originally for this reason; I think he would have been far more valuable in the NL and the inevitable TJ toll of so many teenage breaking balls might have been a little more delayed.

Now he is even playing for Maddon at last but in the wrong League and with the DH more likely than not to stay in the NL anyway.

Thanks, man. Enjoying the sagging Ohtani pricing from his slump/injury.

Ohtani was taking some fly balls and grounders in the OF and 1B today. Going to be really interesting these upcoming weeks.
