If anyone watched the sb vs Bucs, you would have to be cross-eyed to not think mahomes was one of the best players on the field …his Oline consisted of guys like me and you … last years SB was an indictment on the entire offense including mahomes and coaches …one bad game does not make one player drop out of collections ..being blowout in wildcard games is worse imo

Let's not forget that TB12 benefited greatly from the "cream puff" era of NFL-quarterbacking (can you say "Tuck Rule?") along with any other NFL QB playing in the 21st century.

First part of Brady's career was more like 90s football. Not the cream puff NFL of today where guys are literally WIDE OPEN on every single play. Guys used to fear going over the middle. Now, they play the middle with impunity. Then you got guys letting up on hits to the quarterback. Back then they'd spear you with the helmet without thinking twice.

This is why I could never put Mahomes ahead of even a guy like Montana. Montana's era was pure football, played as it was designed to be played. Rough, Tough and without flags being thrown around like candy.

Context is needed. Not having the fear of getting put to sleep on the field makes a huge difference in terms of how the game is played and how players respond.

If NASCAR decided to make the sport safer and reduce the speed of cars on a race track and made it so only you can use Toyota Camry's (Sorry I drive a Camry so I'm biased ) and a guy subsequently won 75% of his races in a Camry, are you all of a sudden the GOAT over a guy who drove during the previous standard, who raced with high performance sports cars driving 150 mph but only won 50% of his races? There's less fear in one and moreso in the latter.

This is why Montana is on the Mount Rushmore of not just quarterbacks but NFL players overall.

I think the thing here is since this comparison is happening. Mahomes has already entered a tier to where he is right next to Brady and Montana

It's obvious alot Brady fans are insecure cuz they see what Mahomes is... Lol... For real it's a interesting life to be so afraid that someone is gonna be better than your guy to just troll all day in a sports card forum... Like what is that even doing... What is the point...ive tried trolling back but it just gets boring... Adding them to users u ignore so u don't even see their posts was a great move.. Someone suggested and I did it... It's funny because I'm a Brady fan myself. Was for years before I ever heard of Mahomes. Heck, my most valuable collectable now is a Brady card.


I'm also confident enough in what Brady did and how the card market works to not feel threatened by Pat, or any other QB out there. Come to think of it, the cope really just seems like a lot of SDE.

I interacted a couple times with him last year, but the conversation turned into circling the drain of Goodell conspiracy and refs throwing/influencing games and seemed to be clear it was simply a troll account disparaging Mahomes. So it’s more of the same this year, except he’s got the cosplay on a ship thing going.

I wouldn't say I'm confused. Your point was that Trout has more MVPs than Mahomes has SB victories, which isn't true. Trout is in fact, a lot closer to Marino than you give him credit for. They have many similarities in their career arcs. I like and respect Trout, but his story has been told.

No I said trout was the face of baseball until he got injured and replaced by ohtani. Somebody else said trout was like Dan Marino. I said no, trout has MVPs which are akin to super bowls. Put up a poll in the baseball forum. The majority will say championships aren’t as important as MVPs which was the whole argument for trout being an all timer before he got injured.
