I got that Hoskins--I think it was a deal as well. Also, picked up the Segura 9.5 for $26. And an Ohtani PSA 10 for $200. Not a bad night.

I sold an Ohtani 9.5 for $150 last night (a new high, I believe), which I thought was a good price. It had great subs, but maybe it pushed the market up a bit for everyone.

Requested replacements for Atuna about a week + ago. Got the normal instant reply. Have sent more info on the rest of my Acuna damages and still nothing. Can’t keep supporting a product that is produced poorly, poor shipping practices and a customer service base that can’t respond in a timely fashion.
If I took a week plus in my business to respond to an upset customer, it may be Grand Opening/Grand Closing time.
I understand they are ‘busy’ but nonetheless it is aggravating when you have well over 50 that need to be replaced.
One of my Acuna had more white on the black area then black lol

As much as I prefer these cards in PSA, I think there will be a strong interest in BGS with all the condition issues--especially with these early cards.

The ones I pick up will not be staying in my collection, but I can see the appeal.

that's not how it works. he can only have a card with the nationals. only way he can get another card is if he is traded to another team.

Just got my Pujols week set. Foam on top, foam on bottom, cards in the middle, topps sticker sealing both sides of the plastic case, Cards are PERFECT! Sure hope they keep packaging them this way!

I've been gone for a bit and was reading back through when I saw this. Thanks for sharing your communications! This is hilarious to me. It took them hundreds of thousands of cards to realize the stock/ink was susceptible to damage? How many did they test print? 50? I mean I guess you can't fully know until you release en masse, but still it seems ridiculous.

Also, since Topps appears to read along here, please please please give us a stock similar to heritage. I agree with the non-glossy, just give us something that isn't so easily damaged. They discard over half of those printed?!? Holy #$%^! How is this profitable? Surely the cost of a thicker stock would offset the # of those printed directly to the dumpster...

Well, I had the same setup but different results. My Headley's got a little beat up and they shorted me a Pujols.

The card stock is the core problem.

I don't believe that's true. How did we get a Henderson in an A's uniform then? I thought they left it open to teams you've been on.... For example, in a couple of years their may be a Henderson card with the Yankees...or whatever.

I don't think packaging is the main issue to "damaged cards".
With the current card stock, and printers printing so many cards, I think after certain qtty, the printer starts to act up and make those weird ink spots or ink fading at certain areas like the name box.
Maybe more periodical printer head cleaning (the ones that you can set up printers to do automatically) might solve the issue.
Just my guess on the situation.

I was one for two, both packed this way...received set today, cards perfect, few days ago, not so much two of the three were damaged(pujols was fine).

Henderson is in the HOF as an A making it the best option for him. I think they are only doing one card for former players. They can't change teams. Based on this reasoning, you won't see Pujols as a Cardinal unless he goes back to them in the future before he retires.

As part of the Living Set program, Topps will issue one card for every player unless that player changes teams. Three new players will be offered every week and will be available for purchase for just one week.

If it’s any consolation it’s greatly appreciated. My Ohtani arrived from you late last week and it looks pristine. Well worth waiting for, and I appreciate the effort you had to put in to get them out in that condition.

Yes it does. but just says in 2018 not the exact date.

My set arrived with thicker foam keeping the case from moving in the box. and two pieces of foam inside the case. my 3 cars were perfect.
