He still only hit .250 and is a career .239 hitter like I explained to you in the SW thread. Take away the stats from this year and he has averaged 11 homeruns and 16 doubles a year.

I think I'd still rather have crappy Joey Gallo than Kiki:

Gallo 7.5 years (half of this year) | Kiki 8 years plus 51 games this year

Home runs: Gallo 170, Kiki 95
Walks: Gallo 401, Kiki 263
RBIs: Gallo 363, Kiki 311
Runs: Gallo 384, Kiki 363

Gallo also leads in career OBP, SLG, TB, less GDP. He also has 2 All Star appearances and 2 Gold Gloves compared to zero of both for Kiki. He also doesn't have an 81.00 ERA like Kiki.

I mean, not trying to support a boston fan, but while he only showed a couple stats, there's nothing wrong with Kike Hernandez' line from last season

.250/.337/.449/.786 with only 110 Ks in 134 games played. 107 OPS+ and 2.1 dWAR

I'd love to have a guy like Kike on our team. I'll take him over Hicks or Gallo in the outfield any day of the week.

He's struggled mightily this year, but as for last season, he was really solid

You're not in the original thread where he's claiming the reason the Red Sox are doing horrible is because they are missing Kiki Hernandez. I'm not saying that his stats are horrible, but it depends on which stats you think are more important. While he had a better average than Gallo last year, Gallo still had more walks, more homeruns, more runs, and more RBIs than Kiki. And it's hard to compare Hicks last year to Kiki considering he was injured.

I think you have seen me plenty of times say Gallo sucks and needs to be dropped from the team. With that said, he still beats Kiki in many career stats or not far behind in others with 1 less year in the league.

Yes you did...you said they were inconsequential.

Inconsequential is not the same word as horrible.

It all goes back to what I've told you multiple times in this argument.

1) No guarantee he has the same success this year as he did last year so you can't make the argument they are missing his 20 home runs and 228 plate appearances

2) The Yankees set the record for most players on IL in 2019 and still won over a 100 games.

Stop making excuses for the Red Sox.

Of course there is no guarantee but a logical person would take the most recent sample size.

Listen to your fellow (and smarter) Yankee fans. Kike is better than Gallo and Hicks...oh wait, we can't discuss him...he is hurt.

No, a logical person would look at the career trends.

Of course you have to resort to insults. I've already proven you wrong on multiple things today, so now the insults come out.

I don't see a single post where I mention Hicks is better than Kiki. I said it was hard to compare the two since Hicks has had a lot of injuries and not played as much as Kiki.

I hate Gallo but he clearly has more runs and more RBIs than Kiki in a shorter career which means his worse bating average isn't hurting his team as he is still scoring more than Kiki.

Tsk tsk tsk...we can't use that excuse, remember?

Why do you get to decide what stats matter and what ones don't? You gave up on baseball, remember?

Why does anybody get to?

I boycotted it, not gave it up. That was fake news.

Well since we can't use the excuse of Kiki being injured, Hicks is a better player than him this year.

Question for fellow Yankees fans.

At what point does the present take precedence over history. Right now it’s been 12 years since their last title, but say they still haven’t won one and the year is 2050 will we still be able to let the history make our arguments for us or will it be worse than it is today.

I will have given up on BO long before 2050 if they haven't won one. I wouldn't want to see BNut's obnoxious posts.

It all depends on what other teams have done. Has anyone gotten near 27 championships. And what have the Yankees done? Win the AL East every year only to fall short in the playoffs or World Series?

Because if they don't, the answer is more Gallo playing time.

True I guess there are too many circumstances to make this an answerable question. I will be 89 if I am still alive never mind being on blowout my biggest thing will be when is the nurse going to change my depends.
