I do think both sides have argued this very well. It’s really an incredible set of circumstances. However, an argument based on the notion that a card was supposed to be other than what it is on its face seems less persuasive to me. Particularly where the card otherwise checks all the boxes other than the logo. Now if someone could only solve my Carlos Beltran rookie card dilemma.

You’ve nailed why I believe this set will always have interest / attraction in the hobby. The history and notoriety of it will maintain collector demand regardless of whether you fall on the RC debate.

I wasn't referring to the "both" option - I was referring to the fact that it asks "what are you going to buy" when what people are actually arguing is "which is the true rookie card"...

LOL. All I know is that as a rookie card collector, it drives me crazy. Instead of just buying both, I have bought neither and settled on the SP minor league issue.

I would laugh about the Beltran issue if my pc didn't have to include a HOF RC of a guy in a red jersey wearing #55 ... and Topps did that twice in a row to Jim Taylor so at least Beltran had his own cards the next year!

Great looking card. I think it looks better than the 1/1 (that plain background reminds me of reflective bicycle stickers)

I think alot of the BB best will be cheaper once 2022 Topps wander and those parallels are out. Granted I know the argument or agreement was what is the "true" rookie card. NOT what is the more valuable.

I picked up 12 base BB50 for $10-$12 each last week, and a few refractors.

Best time to buy 2019 Bowman Wanders will also be once 2022 topps and low # topps come out too.

Does it have the pin hole dimple on the back top right corner? I noticed the Aqua, Blue, and Gold have it so far. Haven't seen it on Green or Purple yet.

Not that I can see… but maybe I don’t know what to look for? I also checked my gold and aqua and don’t see one… the aqua has the bad print line on the front, though
