Those who doubt SGC have and will be paying for their mistakes with other grading companies forever.

The "Sheep" just flock. Always! It's funny really.

I just keep putting away cash with SGC graded cards.

Bahhhhhhh

Not going to say the best piece of advice, but it is 100% true, if not vintage and you want to maximize your ROI. People say it is not all about money, well I get that, but grading is generally to add value to your card and PSA, right or wrong, adds more value. I have used all of the big four grading companies and although I have been able to sell my SGC slabs, it takes much longer and in this market, TIME IS MONEY!

I’ve been “paying” for my PSA mistakes for years… every time they sell for more. 😂

Yep. Totally agree. The SGC crew love to say how they’re catching up. When in reality PSA value is far superior still, which is why I use them to grade. What would I care if it takes an extra two weeks to get my cards back because when I do I sell them for 20-50% more every time. But they are the ones “stacking cash” . 🤦🏼#@♂️

You not wrong, grading is about adding value, but it should not be.It should be about preserving/protecting your cards but as you said.the sad reality is thats its about money and not much else.

Doing 3 card series 2 special sub for PC Cards. Cards are cheap. Can I send to SGC first class? Or do I have to send priority?

Any else notice that SGC graders have turned into total GODs? 8s left and right on PSA 9 cracks that I should have just sent back to PSA for PSA 10s, but I figured why not try SGC. And on the low-end, stuff that used to get 3s and 4s and 5s is like all 1s and 2s, max, suddenly. WTH?

When people talk crap on SGC I laugh. I see it in every thread. You trust them to be able to grade some old card but not a new one? Ok.

Want to know what else is funny? These graders are guys like you and me. They get hired and they give a grade to a card. The guy that works at SGC could work at PSA and Vice versa. They get cards done fast. The slabs (especially when you have a bunch) look great.

Send your cards somewhere else if you don’t like them. But acting like some people do takes me back to middle school.

I have had the opposite. Really good success buying undervalued PSA 9s that usually cross to SGC 10. Low numbered cards seem especially prone to PSA dropping 9s on.

Funny? Like, haha funny? Or fishy funny? Listen guy, every grading company's standards ebb and flow. How are we acting here other than by reporting our own experience relative to earlier experiences? Do you have an recent grading experiences with SGC to report? Or are you just being a clown?

SGC turnaround time and cool looking tuxedos is a huge difference. PSA of course will get you more money so if your in the hobby to make money (like the other 95% of those in the hobby) then PSA is for you, if you want your cards returned quickly and in a slab that doesnt look cheap and low class, (compared to SGC Tuxedos) then SGC is for you.

It’s not about “making money”. It’s about value added.

For me PSA is who I grade with. If I’m scaling TPGs, SGC is second to PSA. I like the slab, label and price and TAT are great. That being said, I have sold all my SGC slabs and only have PSA in my collection. I have lent sent anything to any other TPG this year and don’t intend to. For most of what I collect (<$1000) it’s more worth my time and money to do PSA.

I don’t understand why people try to stigmatize the fact that PSA has better value, grade for grade, than any other TPG and that’s why a majority of people will continue to grade with them. Value is important.

Just received my first SGC card that I picked up for a PC guy and absolutely love the quality and look of the slab. Far superior to PSA IMO. Why the collecting community doesn't get more behind them I will never understand other than people with ADHD can't stand their precious PSA collection to have something different.

Too many people are heavily invested in PSA and are defending their wallet!

What im gathering from posts here is that true collectors love SGC and investors or those only in the hobby to make money and who are focused on ROI love PSA. Again, people that cheer lead for PSA usually have a vested financial interest to pump PSA over SGC.

Basically, if you like good customer service, Fast turnaround times and beautiful, professional looking slabs then SGC is the way!

If you like to make money, cheap looking slabs, bad customer service and long turnaround times then PSA is the way!

Could not agree more. If not for those with huge egos and pockets full of money that have to be #1 in everything PSA would have real problems.
Will be interesting when these old guys start dying and the family wants to "liquidate" the cards...In short if not for the registry PSA would not be #1 in the grading business with the horrible customer service months to grade cards and a low quality holder..

Glad the guardians of the hobby are here to define what a true collector likes.

It is quite funny. If you like making money and use PSA you’re the evil empire and aren’t a true collector apparently. It’s hilarious listening to the SGC boys defending their product. Literally nobody cares you hate money…stop bashing the king (PSA) and continue making bad investments. Oh that’s right…they don’t buy for the value.. they just love good customer service.

The King?

OMFG.

I remember the first time I pretended I knew what I was talking about and pretended to be an expert in this field. You made me laugh!

What part of King don’t you understand? SGC and the rest of the peasants are so far behind PSA’s numbers and value it’s not even funny.

SGC fans will say they are. PSA will say they are. CSG will say they are. BGS will say they are. TAG will say they are. Use who you like and for whatever reason and don’t worry what others say. I use them all but TAG. I would use SGC if I did vintage.
