I am full of envy right now. I’ve implemented a spending freeze, so no more adding Yordans. (Or Vlads, or Sotos, or Bichettes…) So when I see all these amazing cards are no doubt selling for dirt cheap, I feel like the cat in this Far Side cartoon…

Glad I started something today! Great cards!!! Never seen the PB before RaceDog. And man that Brooklyn Red!

I don't follow pop reports and don't even look at previous sales much. A big mistake I'm sure but just don't have the time. But prices do look to be low. Not my thing but I hope someone here is stock piling up on PSA 10 base at these recent auction sale prices.

I am not sure how much value but an orange raw /99 for 41$ yesterday I was real happy to snipe. Especially for value it adds to my PC compared to its low cost.

I would give up every card I've grabbed in the past two months for that Yordan/Robert/Bichette SSSSSSSSSSP, so you're still ahead.

I firmly believe that's a hacked account. First of all, it has a Probstein pic and it isn't Probstein selling it. Second, that seller has a ton of nice cards listed, but no card sales.

They definitely got me. I saw the probstein logo and didn’t even click on the listing to see who was selling it. You now have to be a detective to buy nice singles. What a time to be alive.

I always try to get a Topps Living of each of the top 4-5 rookies each year in PSA 10, but I've been slacking on the 2020 crop.

Figured Yordan would be a good place to start.

I like the Soto... looks good in PSA with all of the red.

So far I have...

2018: Soto, Acuña, Ohtani, Gleyber
2019: Tatis, Vlad, Alonso, Eloy
2020: Yordan...

So maybe in keeping with the pattern of four, I'll go with Bichette, Robert, and Arozarena. Three Cubans and a Brazilian.

Well this offer didn't go well. Card has been up for sale for a long time on ebay. I did alot of research on what I thought was a fair offer. I was going to negotiate up to 850$. But now I will never buy from this guy. I've sold also but I would never laugh at an offer.

I am the biggest Yordan Sterling purchaser and I have basically set Yordan ebay prices for Sterling. But this response hurts me. Maybe I'm to sensitive but this is not how to be professional. Even if I did mistakenly offer to little. What is funny is I paid 2k and own the super of this card.

There's no help for sellers being idiots. If they don't actually want to sell the card, in the sense that they're unwilling to meet a market price, then that's on them. At least there are 9 others.

That collection is simply amazing. If you can get the die-cut super as well, that would be quite the accomplishment!

As for the seller, don't let it get to you. Like tyrith said, there's a lot of idiots out there. Unfortunately any moron can sign up for ebay without a course in proper business etiquette.

I am often conflicted doing business with people like that. But the chance of you running across that card in a PSA 10 again is probably low. If it was me, I would consider going back with your best offer explaining you have the super and what you paid for it. Maybe they'll come around, maybe they wont. But that's just me.

I should just swallow my pride and give my second offer but can't do it.

Almost 1 year ago I offered 1100$ for the same card /3 and asked for a rear picture of the card to go higher in my offer. Still this seller does not supply a back picture. What is it with this card!!! I'm cursed not to get these dual auto cards.

I’ve had moments as a seller when I’ve wanted to respond with “Are you serious?” or “Why even bother?” But I never did, because that would be rude. And those were times when I received offers that were 25% (or less) of what the card soon sold for.

In this case, you’re at a good starting point. A raw /25 sold in October for $315, and a /10 really isn’t going to sell for a whole lot more—maybe $400, or possibly $450 for the beloved black atomic premium. Then from there, a PSA 10 isn’t going to bump a Sterling dual sticker auto up all THAT much.

So yeah, the dude’s a dweeb. But I would just shrug it off and take the suggestion that you present yourself as the authority on Yordan Sterlings. Bowl him over with knowledge. And get your card.

I've realized the impact that I've had on specific cards and now just watch them go down in price at auction. I was buying a specific card and player at $80-$100 and decided to just stop. The next auction went for $36 and now hover around $60 overall.
