Is there any other instance in the world where you hold this many people’s lives in the balance (dictatorship, maybe) and there’s absolutely no regulation on how to handle that responsibility. Do you really want people calling themselves pilots and doctors and bus drivers and gas line technicians and truck drivers and power plant operators and vaccine scientists and everyday vehicle commuters with no training or oversight. It really makes no sense. Have all the guns you want but there needs to be licensing, training and oversight. Make it free if that’s the hiccup. It’s simply madness, it’s an arms race, why do I need to own a gun to feel safe.

For sure... I was only framing my point. I think homie wanted to get in on the "Trump sucks" fun, which is fine to me, but took it a bit far. I doubt he actually meant what he said.

Vermont has guns with no required training, and had never ever required a license to carry.

Seems to be working out pretty fine.

Who knows if he meant it or not. Point is, it was a dirty statement. I hope he learned a lesson

This is big news so I wonder what new "bombshell" the media will have for us to distract away from it.

MSM actually saying this sentiment may spread and other countries may soon join this peace accord. Can you imagine if is spreads throughout middle east? If Trump was actually able to finally accomplish "peace in the middle east"?! Democrat heads would literally explode lol.

Let's be honest. It would be spun that it was somehow Obama that did it and that Trump was just riding his coattails again lol

A mostly peaceful explosion at that.

I don't think he will. Twitter is full of these kinds of posts today from "journalists" and political talking heads. They can't take a break for one day to be Americans; they just have to double down as Democrats hell bent on trashing the President.

Oh absolutely. There will never be any credit given to Trump no matter what he accomplishes. Sad all the hate from the left.

It’s disheartening to see racketeering employed as a diplomatic strategy, but its highly likely I’m very naive to these things. Yes, normalizing relations are good, strengthening allies in the region seems like a positive step. Hopefully Iran reacts diplomatically. I’m rooting Trump can stabilize peace in the region.

Who is saying they are peaceful? Is it the same people that are standing in front of a burning building?

Sorry, 100 people who died yesterday, today, tomorrow and everyday for the foreseeable future, we have found peak gun laws. I don’t know what the answer is but I don’t think we’ve found it yet.

That's not really news, I remember watching a Congressional hearing about this last year or even the year before; it was rough watching some of the firefighters testify.

https://twitter.com/srl/status/1304479389321777154?s=20

So Floridians passed a ballot measure 65%-35% restoring the rights of released felons to vote. The Florida GOP was not happy with democracy so they passed a law saying that before being eligible to vote, they had to repay all court fines and fees. The problem with that is no one knows who owes what, if anything, and the state won't tell them. Now the right-leaning 11th Circuit has ruled that that is ok and that the state is under no obligation to tell them. And if they dare try to exercise their right to vote and have an outstanding fine/fee, they can be prosecuted and sent back to prison. Democracy!

I for one am sick of this judicial activism! (Am I doing this right?)

I don't know what this means. It's okay to say what you want to say... no riddles necessary... I won't bite.

I would argue for way stricter laws against distracted driving. Hopping in a car is one of the most dangerous things we do in this country. I don’t understand why we villainize groups of people but overlook more common threats. The bottom line is we have a foundation of licensing and regulations around safely operating vehicles, zero around guns.

I'm still here! My tds is currently in remission.

A far as who I'm voting for: I'm waiting for the debates.

Wanted trump in 2016, and now realize what a poor decision that was.

I have no idea where Biden stands on the major issues.

As far as the second amendment, IMO, it's untouchable, no matter who sits in the president's seat.

I'm not at all familiar with the process but how would they not know they have outstanding fines or fees? Wouldn't that all be spelled out in their court documents? Governments seems to be pretty good about collecting money so that just seems odd to me.
