Volpe joins the recent list of hated Yankees most recently accompanied by Gallo, Donaldson, Rodon (1st year) lol. I would of added Aaron Hicks but recently just met him by chance and is a super nice guy, had nothing but good things to say about the Yankees!

I am going to start a list of things you could’ve done during the Yankees 3rd inning at bat. Let’s have some fun.

1- ride the Staten Island Ferry across and even have time for a cup of coffee.

My son found a Yankees add with Stanton and according to him in the ad, it is pronounced Stanton Island.

I think Greg Maddux has thrown CGs with fewer pitches than Nats pitchers threw that 1/2 inning.

Ogasawara had a fun at bat. He wanted no part of being up there. Fried pitching well must be hard to concentrate with an 11-0 lead and sitting on the bench for a 77 pitch 41 minute inning. 15 batters so they averaged more than 5 pitches per batter.

It’s always or usually happens that when a pitcher loses a no hitter they have a bad inning. No worries about blowing an 11-0 lead but this should be Fried’s last inning.

Nice recovery by Fried to only give up one run after 3 straight hits. No reason to bring him out for the 7th.
