I’m not sure why people in here was saying you couldn’t get a membership with your old account??? I asked that question weeks ago with someone from Topps/fanatics and was told you could it would just be under a new membership, so you have to pay 199 instead of 149

Agreed, I got to renew all my memberships. They all ship to the same address. I don’t understand Topps’ methods of cutting out some big spenders but leaving smaller accounts. I spent a few thousand during the last membership period, nothing near as much as others mentioned here. I was also one of the recipients of a load of free Finest Flashbacks boxes and an extra SW Sapphire box earlier in the year. So it would make more sense to axe my accounts.
Who knows, no rhyme or reason.
Happy to still be a part of the club. I wasn’t sure if I wanted to renew, but I have a good feeling about the coming year… if not, it’s the cost of a few of those FF boxes.

the verbiage in the email when they told us we couldn’t renew was definitely vague where it said anyone attempting to purchase a new membership could face additional consequences.

It would not let me renew, but would let me add to cart and buy new, so I gave them the benefit of the doubt that it was intentional. We’ll see if it sticks.

i would think about changing up the addresses on those accounts. I’d bet at some point in the next year they’ll figure out you have multiple accounts at the same address.

Why would Topps axe your accounts for the FF screwup? They probably aren't aware of it and even if they are, it's a separate matter.

Not just addresses but also phone numbers, cc, and email. That's assuming Topps employees at least know how to search a database.

I don’t think they are one for one comparing who beat them on ff, but I do think it was a big impetus for cracking down on multiple accounts. Assume in the aftermath they realized there were individuals who got close to 100 free boxes which probably highlighted to them just how widespread multi accounting was.

The irony is now they catch the guys with 3-4 accounts but the more sophisticated guys are still getting as many orders through as they want, like on brooklyn collection.

I do feel bad for people who thought they couldn’t open a new membership with their old account. People were referencing possible consequences from topps and it scared them lol

There's still plenty of time for consequences. Wouldn't surprise me if Topps takes their money and then cancels their membership later. It seems arrogant to assume they could create a new membership despite the e-mail clearly saying they couldn't. We've seen Topps screw people over left and right even though CS either told them to do something or said it was ok when it wasn't.

I thought the email from Topps was clear but decided to play dumb and asked anyway. This is what they said: "You are not able to renew or purchase a new membership to the Montgomery Club."

It’s not something I have to worry about since I did not try and get a new membership, but people that tried so far so good...

that’s not exactly what my email said. it said I couldn’t renew, then was sort of vague about could I buy a new one or not. “may” result in additional consequences. I completely understand them not wanting me to have multiple memberships. seems pretty punitive if I couldn’t even have one at new member price.

Cards designs are beautiful...one of my 4 boxes had an extra auto...3 HOF autos in 4 boxes...and I still feel like this is my worst Brooklyn break ever

Back to back years hitting a Walker Buehler purple auto /10. Everything I hit is FT, looking for Witt Jr

See, I dont get it. How does Topps price a product that has at least 2 on-card autos (packed with HoF) for almost half of a dud like TCS? Do they draw the prices out of a hat?
