Topps Platinum members and big groups probably over 75% of the memberships. We all know Topps and Panini won't screw them. So in turn if you're in they won't screw you. Guaranteed to be worth the $200 membership and probably way more.
What big groups? Seriously, lay off the crack

Unless they buy panini america(or the license from panini corporate), nothing until 2026.

Blowout for example. I don't even know why I bother to comment. Just never-ending moronic responses. If there is something Im reminded daily in this "hobby" it's how many stupid people there are in this world. Why do you think Topps had the language in the Montgomery Club info that Topps can although as many memberships to someone as they want if they although it in writing? Because they are letting who they want have as many as they want.

If it looks like a rat, smells like a rat, it is a rat. You're going to claim Im wrong because I don't have the membership orders from Topps for this year and last year? We both know Im right. The percentages could be wrong of course. But if you're going to claim there wasn't countless more available memberships this year versus last year I don't know what to tell you. Anyone with any common sense knows there was. Several hundreds if not over a thousand members with a cumulative amount of thousands of accounts were banned from buying a membership this year. Bots also no longer want them.

I never thought I'd say this but I don't think I'm angry enough to be a MC member

So true. If you aren't aggrieved and indignant at one thing or another multiple times a day you have no place in the Montgomery Club.

I took the red pill...let's see how being a non-member goes.

Hopefully, there is a blissful freedom and no more anger .

So, I have been a member since the outset. Bought 2 (One for each kid was the thought) I loved the set first Brooklyn Collection set and probably have one of the nice collections. Acuna 1/1 and 75 of the 105 cards from the set. The mini sets were fun, and the end of the year stamped set was great.

Next year I buy a 3rd one for myself. We are now enjoying all the presales. I like the niche sets, so this is great for me and the boys.

Run into some issues with Topps letting me purchase my 3 memberships worth of product or offers. Multiple phone calls and lots of emails, Topps Customer Service lets me know how to make it all perfect. This goes by for 2 years, the membership lessens, but it is still fun. I also still love the Brooklyn Collection.

Last week Topps rips away my memberships. These are the same ones they advised me how to set up so it fits into their system. Then when I ask why, I simply get "that is the policy"

I am sure I am not a top spender, but I know I would believe I am in the top 10% at least. Why they treat their tier 1 or 2 customers this way is beyond me.

I have been an avid collector of Topps Heritage since it came out. I got in a year late, but I back ordered. I buy a case or two a year. This year I don't expect to open a pack.

I will still buy cards because I am an addict, but Topps/Fanatics is going to see a much smaller chunk of my spend.

You could be telling the truth, but 99% of the people who drop the "for my kids" line are full of #@#@#@#@.

Is it infuriating, given that Topps actively encouraged people to purchase multiple memberships? Yes.

Is it against the TOS to have multiple memberships in one household? Yes.

Does Topps often make moves that are irrational, reactionary, ill-thought-out, and against their long-term best interests? Yes.

Does Topps reserve the right to do what they did? Yes.

The only thing anyone can do about it is speak with their wallets and refuse to purchase products from such an inept company but the bolded is why they have and will continue to operate in this fashion.

I have two boys. 22 and 13. Would you like birth certificates?

Regardless of if I do or don't, If Topps allows me to buy 3 memberships and helps me with this process because they understand all the other money they going to get with my purchases. I am disappointed in Topps lately, but I really like the Black and White set and still bought 25 boxes. This was prior to learning they cancelled my memberships.

I am a collector. My boys like opening stuff, but they aren't on the boards and don't follow sports like I do. It was still fun to rip product with them when I could.

My point is simply that they have run this great concept of membership into the ground. They lied, cheated, and stole. I still like the small subsets and occasionally I can get a kid to listen to me when we get them in the mail, but that has been taken away because I broke a rule Topps guided me into.

Many of us feel similarly. It's unfortunate but there is a clear shift in direction of the brand. It was somewhat inevitable but it could have been done much more cleanly. I do think this is okay though. 90% of my purchases are through public nowadays. MC is not what it once was.

The new strategy at this point seems as follows:

- Gut the MC582 of its worth and then offer "presales on products that don't fit the mold".
- Offer most other products through online store at price that is not going to be profitable for flippers.
- Spread the wealth. Customer limits. (i.e., No mini distributers)
- Price the hottest products high and let them sit. Back door to distros once a few days pass at an agreed upon price.

Topps if you're reading this -> Please communicate with us. That is mostly all we ask.

Of course it stings to have your business taken for granted, but given the steady devaluation of MC, I'm guessing before the end of the next membership year, you'll be chuckling that you ever cared about renewing.

Topps got the message loud and clear from new memberships selling out within hours despite Brooklyn going public and TCS gutted like a fish. If they get anything at all from this thread, it would be the wishful thinking for 2026.

My sons are 21,20 and 17. My middle child was given a random batch of soccer card packs today at the local charity he volunteers at. The lady was going to throw them out. We opened them tonight and had a blast doing it. They pulled all the shiny stuff out, it was somewhat hilarious as they used to do it as kids too. They don't follow sports like I do but get a kick out of opening packs. I also passed on this years membership because I was cancelled on both accounts. I found myself buying very few releases this last year anyway. I'll revisit at a later date.

I agree that I will likely not care going forward and I am not too upset I don't have an ongoing membership. I am upset with the manner that it happened. Topps lied and had no desire to make up for their own error. They just deferred to "policy." The same policy they advised me a couple years ago was something different.

I know there's a lot of different stories as to why, but so many people were double/triple/quadruple dipping on all the money being made on those releases. You had your fun while the getting was really good. You can be mad at Topps for enforcing their rule, but I doubt anyone who stuck with one is going to feel bad for you. Especially if you are still sitting on mulitple F1, Star Wars, 2019 UEFA boxes.

As someone who only has (and has had) 1 account, I never cared about others having multiple. Why? Because I had the same opportunity to purchase multiple memberships myself, I just chose not to.

Topps should've allowed such individuals to renew their accounts, or in the worst case scenario, reduce to 1 membership.
