That Walmart is different thought because I thought he was an MJ rep but I've seen him other days not stocking cards. He doesn't have a Walmart tag but rather another tag...maybe a contractor? It wouldn't make much sense for an MJ rep to get in at 7 and wait all the way until 8-30 to stock, unless maybe they take a while.

My other Walmarts are normal MJ reps and they always stock at the same time and actually block off the card aisles so they aren't bothered. Ditto for Target.

From my experience, 3 of the 4 Walmarts near me stock by 9AM and the other usually right around noon. I've only caught Target once which was around 12-12:30 but she hung around for a bit because I thought I cleared out Mosaic, but went back at 5 and found 6 more blasters.

Thanks for all the info and that is just nuts on the line before store opening. That could be what's going on around me. I'm going to try and get to 1 store right when they open, hit a few others, and then double-back on that one a bit later but still early morning. It still amazes me that I had people looking at cards at the EXACT same time as me on 7 of my roughly 20 or so stops yesterday. I can't even imagine how many times a day someone is stopping by the card aisle now. This environment is nuts.

When I mostly cleared out (left the megas/blasters and took the hangers/cellos) a SoCal Walmart of its 2019-20 Prizm BKB in December, I saw a couple people stop by to check out the card aisle while I was checking out (short time-frame).

Since then, there's been Optic, Mosaic and Chronicles releases. I can only imagine how much higher the frequency of card aisle visits are. I reside in NorCal and don't even bother to check our local stores as they never have new stuff in stock or don't stock cards to begin with.

Yeah, I was telling to the stocker and he mentioned that he had to stock at 7 when he got in because they told him that there are people waiting for cards and were outside since 6AM.

The guy who cleared the shelf of all sports cards stocked let me get one blaster of chronicles. Got this Phoenix Ja silver and 3 other Ja’s and one Zion rookies and stars so I’ll definitely take it.

Ahh, I’m on the West coast so last two days was th/fr to me. Same answer though, both Thur and fri are big days here so yes there was product to be found yesterday. It’s pretty much done for the week though as all 10 or so stores I check on have stocked for the week now.

Yeah out this way it seemed to pop up earlier in the week in some spots but most were stocked Thursday. Didn't see anything yesterday and didn't even try today.

Yes

My only hesitation on cellos is people will assume they've been searched for chrome cards. I haven't seen these in person to know if that's possible but I assume it is.

There are few breaks with as much fun stuff as Chronicles. You want Zion, you'll get Zion's, you want Ja's - you'll get them. It's basically golden corral wax.

The fat packs have tremendous value right now. From the msrp, compared to any other cello this season, it's crazy. Might fall off in the coming weeks, but don't discount them too greatly! Like others have said, they are still full of rookies / stars.


And, i am guessing you can probably search the packs just like any other pack? You can't see through it or anything, but i would definitely maybe be careful about buying the cellos because if they are searched, there is a chance that corners/ edges of the non foil / chrome cards have been touched up too much.

Some of the 'lesser' designs have grown on me too. The base Panini action shots are fantastic. I think they might be my favorite behind Phoenix and Crusade.
