This is random but after dealing with my last P2020 return today, I decided to stop accepting returns. Thinking that might be a little rash, I went to turn them back on and saw this clause:

"If your buyer returns this item because the item is not as described in the listing, you'll be charged return shipping on your seller invoice as a fee, which may be charged to your automatic payment method on file, if any."

So even if I state buyer pays return shipping, I am charged return shipping? Having also taken my last return down to the wire with eBay, I let the buyer open a case to see how the process went (he also waited exactly 30 days to return the card after opening a return case 5 days after he received the card). Case was opened by the buyer, closed within 5 minutes, and I wasn't allowed to post anything. I appealed, said I had proof contrary to his claims (he claimed item wasn't as described, it was pristine as far as P2020 is concerned), they said they have no way of proving that's actually the item, etc. So INAD = instant win for buyer. I don't see what the incentive is to offer returns going forward.

Still zero explanation. BIN was hit quick...but like....do sellers really hate money? Was the fanny intentionally rubbed with Covid before reshipment as a revenge/gag scheme? I'm not seeing the logic.

I never got it either. I didn't buy one. It's not something I would wear or collect. It simply wasn't for me.

I was hoping the value was there though for everyone else. It's never good seeing the hobby lose money.

Man my neon vintage fanny pack saved me a lot of trouble at raves over the years. There were also hours in a row where I searched through it trying to find my pills or cigs or gum or candy or laser pointer or cash or ID.

From what I remember, good times!

Honestly, this is why I don't eBay any more. The only incentive to offering free returns is so that unscrupulous buyers can just send it back instead of making them come up with some reason it is not as described. Making them jump through hoops increases the odds that they'll damage the card before sending it back. At least by offering free returns, there's an increased likelihood that you'll get the card back unharmed.

That was my reasoning as well. Going to try no returns and see how it goes, but I'm pretty much avoiding selling "hot" stuff on eBay going forward. If this guy would've shipped back when he received, rather than waiting 30 days for the ultimate screwjob, I could've recouped ~$150 of the $625 it sold for. Now it's down to $35.

Worst part of my dealings with eBay today was at the end, when they denied my appeal, they suggested I transition from 14 days buyer pays returns to 30 days free returns to avoid problems like this in the future. Uhh, what? Really annoyed me that was slipped in there.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but did you say you sold a card for $625 that is now worth $35?

Haven't seen this posted yet:

https://allburgundy.com/products/mic...companion-card

Naturel companion card autograph. I bought one non-auto companion card and I'll probably buy however many more he puts out. I didn't get on board with Nautrel until Gwynn #40 but I'm picking up all the rest of his cards.

Thank you, sir.

My Wells Fargo balance is now $510 smaller.
