First Buzz: 2023 Topps Series 2 baseball cards - Page 16

First time poster, long-time reader.

I pulled a social media follow back card yesterday It seems these are rare, but do they have any value? I don't really see any personal value in getting followed on Instagram by an MLB player, and not sure it holds any real long-term value. Thoughts?

Go to eBay and type in 2023 Topps Follow Back "x player name". You will find what you're looking for. I think its completely pointless but to some it must matter. Its really easy to just follow someone and then privately ignore them.

i did that, but they are all over the place (none for that specific player yet). I may just throw it up on ebay and i get what i get since there is no value to me

I don't think Topps has ever done mega boxes for any flagship besides S1 in the past so I kind of doubt Supers for S2. Would be kind of neat though with the rookies in the product.

Can't double check the S2 odds PDF right now but I'm pretty sure it includes odds for both Target and Walmart super boxes...

With this Series 2 rookie class, I too hope these boxes drop to at least 2023 Series 1 presale prices.

I can see online dealer to dealer case/box and eBay sealed case prices dropping, but it will take some time for LCS/Big 3/eBay single box prices to follow suit. Those following BO threads and social media posts are a small minority.

There is something for "bulk pack" boxes on the odds but those could be the retail 24-pack retail boxes.

For retail flagship, I buy hangers to scratch the itch to open wax. I do remember picking up a mega box of 2021 S2 when I was up to camp though.

Yep, Giant Boxes for Target and Monster Boxes for WM. But not sure those are the Supers. But I do know that Topps wants to do more of those types of packaging based on the Conference discussion earlier this year.

Aha, yep. I knew I remembered something was on there. Definitely could be something different from S1, especially since they're not even described the same as one another, but I'd hope they're both just the Supers again. Do we really need even more formats at this point?

Was thrilled to grab the Colas black and Camo in a lot on ebay for less than a hobby box. I know his market is in the toilet but would have imagined paying $200 minimum in March.

Ripped the first box in a hobby case and happy with the results. Hope this a sign of things to come with the rest of the case. Biggest hits are the Spencer Torkelson SSP and a Warren Spahn 1/1 cut auto.
