Because the design is the same as the X-men set I see this more as a continuation of that then a complete new set.

X-men also seem to have a deeper pool of talent to fill the checklist. I’m concerned there a higher percentage of weak names then the X-men set. Is the going to be more marvel metal sets coming out?

Im thinking almost the exact opposite when I see the checklist. The base card list is pretty loaded:

Spider-man, and all his variations (cosmic, 2099,superior, etc)
Miles Morales
Venom
Carnage
All the Spidey villains
The females (Black cat, mary jane, spider-woman, etc)
And then the surprises...X-men such as Wolverine, Magneto
And then even more surprises.....various big name Avengers such as Cap America, Hulk, Iron Man, War Machine, Winter Soldier etc

The set is like a who's-who in terms of hobby-popular characters in Marvel. There were some very obscure characters in X-men metal I thought.

I linda wish it were more 'Spidey-focused' and left out people on established teams like X-Men or Avengers, but let's be honest: in almost 60-years he has been on a team with nearly every mainstream character!

They also threw in Beast which is kinda cool. But Mr. Sinister? Does he have any connection with Spidey?

A few times when Spider Man would show up in an X-Men Story in the 90s and 2000s.

Marvel Team-Up, which ran for 150 issues, guaranteed this.

It won’t be the last set of Wolverine PMGs either.

Really excited to see what the product looks like and the distribution of parallels/PMGs. Glad that this product is finally coming out after such a long delay.

true but some of his pmgs have been terrible. 13 is decent, 15 sucks, 17 sucks, no 18 and 20 low is probably his best with high right behind low series but quality of those cards are terrible.

I love the 20 High but yea, the quality leaves much to be desired.

I thought 15 was much better than 13.

If the Wolverine PMG has the first appearance Hulk cover, it will be #1 on the list.

That's why it's good to be selective in your purchases. I buy PMG's of both characters I know AND enjoy the art or I've learned about AND enjoy the art. The XMen Metal Wolverine is my favorite capturing everything I expect.

Is wolverine the top hit in Spidey? I guess he is the top hit in all marvel products.

Spidey and Miles would be top hits in this. Ghost-Spider, Venom, and Wolverine are all right up there tho.

EDIT: I also think Spider-Ham will do really well in this one. Maybe a notch below second group above. There are a lot of nice hits in the checklist tbh.

Did Spider-Ham become a big thing after Into The Spiderverse? I read that book as a kid and felt like I was the only one who cared about the character forever. Now he's everywhere.

a sleeper will be spider-punk as character is getting lot of hype in comic world and probably in spiderverse part 2.

There are several potential sleepers with this checklist if artwork and cards are printed well.

I'm surprised they didn't try to shoehorn in another Deadpool PMG.

Spider-man is like Barbie -- there are endless versions and most of them look good.

I'm excited about seeing the artwork. I'm hopeful a few characters are done by Simone Bianchi
