Already had a PWCC buy going last month, so decided to hunt for something a bit outside my usual track. Saw this ‘55 Timmy come up and made the call. Awesome card to add - the grain of the paper is really neat. Absolute legend on the ice! Only player to have multiple numbers retired.
Very pleased to add him to the PC ![]()

Got my SGC return with 18 days of shipping out. My anger with PSA grows every day! Nothing special here, just some raw cards I picked up for about $100 all together. I am ecstatic about the George McGinnis SGC 8!

That's a great looking 4-pack right there. The three baseball cards are all kind of important cards in their own right and all have good colors and eye appeal. I don't know a lot about basketball issues but I do like this particular year for Topps and it's a nice looking sports card. You've got good taste.

After grading with both PSA and SGC, I pretty much picked every grade out perfectly. They stick by their standards and I know what to expect. Saying that, you can get higher grades by knowing their standards. PSA is all about corners and SGC does weight centering more. For people that think that grading companies just flip a coin for grades, they just deal with modern stuff that are sitting between a 9 and 10. Grading older cards is different and I haven't had one card that the grade shocked me.

That is a beauty! Finding older centered Topps Football cards is almost impossible, no matter what the set is!

Haven't opened much for the last few months and I have only picked up set cards lately so I was looking for something to add that was over 100 years old. Haven't had too many opportunities but my LCS got a nice collection in that had this. Now I want to add more...

So this card isn't exactly vintage, but since I mostly post stuff in here and in Baseball it seemed to me more appropriate to post here.
I sold most of my limited MJ collection in February when the market went insane, but now that some of his stuff is starting to get softer I decided to jump at the chance to add this example. I have wanted one as long as I can remember, and now it definitely sits on the Mt. Rushmore of my collection. Thanks for the look! ![]() |

Welcome to the club. I purchased my Jordan rookie in June of last year and it too was a card I had wanted since I was 10 years old so it was a card 30 years in the making. Beautiful addition to your collection. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Thanks - some are in pretty rough condition, but at least they were priced accordingly.

I group the 1986, 1987, 1988 Fleer with the 70's and 80/81 Topps cards. 1989 and up is junk wax, so there is a difference. I will never own a MJ rookie unless I hit a few PSA 10's with my Pippen, Rodman, Miller, and Stockton rookies I submitted. If I do, those will be sold to fund a Jordan Fleer rookie. Beautiful card!

Here some of my pickups from the past couple weeks. Super excited to add all of these, and nearly all present better than their grade - especially the '54 Mays. (apologies for a bit blurry scans)

And they want to make digital cards? What? No thanks. I'll keep my old cardboard as is.
As you can see, there is still love in the hobby. Not everyone is greedy.

I have flipped, traded, consolidated, and sold my way to this beauty over the past 6 months or so. Almost completely out of modern now.
As a Yankees fan this was a holy grail type card for me. ![]() Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Awesome! Nice job grinding your way to one of the best cards in the hobby. Definitely worth selling all (or nearly!) your modern to get one of these. I like to think about how the average person would view my collection, and if you have a batting Ruth everyone will know it’s a big deal. Some random Bowman chrome auto of a dude in the minors, not so much. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Not a HOF but Johnny Pesky was one of the most important Red Sox in history. The Pesky Pole was obviously named after him, career .300 hitter with some really good years early in his career and also robbed of 3 prime years in WWII. He was around the team every year until he died at age 93. Saw this card and needed to add it to my PC
