Also, what is the value of neutral feedback? Since buyers can't actually view the comments, does Sportlots use it internally for some purpose?

The PWE for premium shipping situation is an example where I would typically use neutral feedback, but not really sure that it goes anywhere. And not really sure how I would open a shipping charges issue (since the cards arrived and were "as described" even if the shipping wasn't), which is a precursor to leaving negative feedback. Plus, a negative seems overly harsh for this situation...

For me, if I'm paying for premium shipping I wouldn't expect it to come in a PWE. I honestly never pay any attention to it though so I wouldn't really know.

AS for the packing of the cards, that's always really just hit or miss to me. Some people who charge budget pack them great and some people that charge premium don't. And the other way around.

I would contact Sportlots and ask them what you should do. I would certainly be upset if I paid for premium shipping and received PWE. How long has it been since you messaged the seller?

Will do. The crazy thing is that it happened with 3 different orders / sellers in the past couple of weeks. Never had that happen before, and then all at once...

If you pay premium its an AUTOMATIC bubble mailer. Even budget the dealer has a responsibility to make sure you get the cards in the condition ordered. If I charge you $4 to ship I'm not putting it in a PWE.

Do all "not received" buyers leave neutral feedback? Just curious on what they are out that they need to leave a neutral also. Or is that part of their process? Interesting that they never have cards for sale either. I assure you that I never let a "not received" just go because its "part of selling PWE cards". I report every single one to USPIS. Sorry just venting a little...I've been selling on Ebay for many years and have never seen so much mail go missing like PWE cards do. If we all report each one eventually it will stop.

Not sure if you are on a bad streak or not but my experience with lost mail is nearly non-existant.

I would guestimate that I send out between 100-150 per month and, off the top of my head, have had two come up not received in the last couple of years. And I know that one of those went to Canada.

It can certainly be frustrating however I just haven't had it come up all that often to worry about it too much.

USPS has certainly had some delay issues over the last couple of months so it may be legit and bad luck but it may be something more nefarious than that.

I don't sell via PWE on eBay at all as I just don't want to take on the risk with that buying group (though I know there are many that do just fine with it) but I feel SL does a decent job of sifting out the riff-raff and I have found buyers to be very patient and willing to wait for delivery when they (likely) could have filed claims and gotten paid.

I would stick with it on SportLots if I were you - double check you are mailing everything properly and ensure you do everything right on your end and I think it will work out fine. You could up you shipping by a nickel or a dime to help compensate for non-deliveries if that helps to offset losses but that may end up costing you sales too.

As of the 1st of August, I no longer ship PWE.

I had a high amount of orders that were ‘never delivered’, all PWE shipments.

I was worried about a lack of sales, but I’ve not really seen any drops in the amount of orders I have received.

I’ve not had one ‘non delivery’ since then!

Will you still ship PWE to the box?

I've shipped PWE to the box multiple times and never once a "not received". I hate to turn it off for my regular customers that buy several PWE cards per month but it surely frustrates the heck out of me when it happens.

I'm 100% certain that I sent out the 2 PWE's that were "not received". I take a picture with the date beside the envelope on the days I send them out and both were in my files. I can certainly see delays especially these days but for them to never show up is odd. I've only ever had 1 person contact me back that the card did show up on eBay, that was after I contacted his post office and sent the picture to the manager of what the envelope looked like and had them ask the person delivering it if the remembered seeing it. Miraculously the person did deliver it a week before I had asked. I dont take theft lightly.

From my side as a buyer, I keep track of everything and I've only had three things not delivered since I started buying on Sportlots. Two of them were from the same seller and my assumption has always been they never intended to ship. The other was from Canada and the seller said they shipped it so don't know on that one. I stay to mostly budget shipments and I place a lot of orders. Just my experience but of course as other's have said, there's a lot of craziness with USPS right now.

I still ship pwe on sportlots and on 5 trading sites. I ship as many as 15 thinner cards in some of my pwe trades, but only 4 on my sales at sportlots. Over 15 years at sportlots and probably averaged one pwe not arriving per year. I"ve had 2 "not received" issues this year with pwe sales, requested 5 additional days, and buyers closed the issue because they received. I've only had one pwe trade this year that was lost, and that's out of over 200 trades. I have had a lot of pwe trades that have taken 15-24 days to deliver. Years ago, I had a couple of friends at local PO tell me to talk to my delivery person to make sure that they knew that "NON-MACHINABLE" pwes and envelopes to Canada were kept separate from regular envelopes. They are separated if you visit the PO to assure they aren't run through the postal machines. The pwes supposedly go in a separate bag when shipped to next stop. They told me not to write, "Fragile", or " Do Not Bend", because they would still be sent through the machines. I do believe that the pwes probably get set aside some times, until a PO employee finds them. I just had two bubble mailers with tracking take 13 days to arrive. Once bought a flate rate priority box from a guy in Ohio, took 19 days to get to Florida. So, it doesn't just happen to PWEs!

Several hundred PWE's sent in the past three months. Not a single one reported not delivered or damaged.

As long as you are using them for orders below a certain dollar amount (I go about $10 -- whatever you personally are comfortable with), PWE's make a lot of sense. Even if you lose a couple orders a year, you are making way more sales and getting rid of low-dollar cards that you'd never sell at $3-4 shipping.

All of my PWEs are stamped 2 times with red ink NON-MACHINABLE on both sides and are always handed to the clerk. They do have a separate bin that they put them in.

I'm on Sportlots to sell cards, not to scam anyone or try to take their money and not ship. I just don't understand why they allow feedback to be left on an order that was essentially cancelled because all money was returned. The customer is not out anything. The seller is out the cards, the money, packaging/stamp, PayPal fee and I assume Sportlots fee. Then the customer gives neutral feedback that could jeopardize future sales when the seller did nothing wrong. It would seem to me the "not received" complaints could be counted behind the scenes by Sportlots for both parties and they could turn off either account if they thought things were shady. If I did something wrong then I deserve to have neutral or negative feedback if I didn't fix it but how would you fix a not received other than returning all monies. I certainly wouldn't want to send more cards.

Half of my sales per month have been PWE. But I will say that I lose money on many of them when the buyer buys 1 card for 18 cents and the PP fee is 33 cents plus Sportlots fee. I make zero on the budget shipping charge that I charge, actually I lose a few cents each transaction but I'm tryingto stay competitive. At that point I'm better off not selling PWE. Plus it takes that card away that a bulk buyer may buy. In the end I've decided to stop PWE shipping for now.

As a side note: have you heard USPS is temporarily increasing their rates from Oct 18th (I think) to Dec 27th (I think)? First class is 25 cents. I don't remember what the increase was for Priority.

I buy a lot on Sportslots and I have had 3 seperate orders that have not arrived even tho it has been more than three weeks since i placed the orders. These orders are from sellers that I have bought from on multiple occasions in the past. So I have started reporting the missing shipments to Sportslots, where in the past I would just chalk it up to bad luck.

As a buyer on Sportlots I find a lot of cards that I want. BUT will not buy as the sellers has only one card for me at less the .50. Yes I need the card but most of them will be losing money. I hate to do that to any one. The others if you add in the shipping I can buy them cheaper other places. So I really need to find sellers with more cards of my wants.

At this time I have 3 sellers with 3 cards each (on my list) just waiting to see if they add any more so shipping (per card ) is better.

Side note: It is taking longer to find cards I need. Appears I have run out some sellers of cards I want. Very focus on my Nebraska football collection.
