Does anyone know if 96-97 Precious Metal parallels have ever been faked?

In the past PSA has frequently mislabeled the base 96 metal cards as the "precious metal" variation, and vice versa, but I've never heard of any non-authentic cards from this set floating around

Thanks for the reply. I've seen the mis-labelled issued with BGS and PSA slabs, but like you have never heard of forgeries.
I've found one I am likely to purchase, but seller seems to have TOO many different ones (if you know what I mean) so just wanted to do my due diligence and get some insight form others.

This looks a bankruptcy card where there is no numbering however I didnt know BAMS/Hoops was part of this.

Does anyone have any info?

Wouldn't the numbering be completely missing if it was a bankruptcy card? At least the seller didn't try and fill in the blank.

Up to 5k already, what a joke. The Penny was up not too long ago as well. Hit 3k and of course was relisted.

No that’s not always the case. These are indeed bankruptcy cards / placeholders in the event certain legit, pack pulled cards were damaged.

Another penny collector I know jokingly refers to these hole-punched monstrosities as “die-cuts.”

It looks real to me but I'd DM RogerMaris. He confirmed a raw MJ Row 0 /100 of mine was real when I got it. Sent it to PSA with no issues.
