I realize that anything that I post will be considered hateful trolling. I went to an O's series in Toronto a couple of years ago during a long winning streak for the Blue Jays (they swept the O's). The place was packed, but it just seemed like the baseball IQ at the RC was very low. This is not taking anything away from the Blue Jays fans on this board (well, Melagoo and whomever else). There were plenty of groups of younger people that were acting very immaturely. I also sat right behind the O's dugout, so a lot of my observations were before and after the game. Afterwards was miserable....drunk bellering the likes of which I would see after an NFL game.

maybe you should go back and read some of these post. People are painting all Canadians (which is an ethnicity) with the same brush. ie. casual fans, idiots, can throwers. I am none of these things and I am Canadian. I am being unfairly pre-judged because of my Nationality. I am not very worried about it and it is no big deal especially compared to other racism that is going on (like those idiot fans yelling at Kim). I am not condoning the actions of some of my retarded friends, I am only trying to point out that idiots are in every stadium and we are them a lot of the time but we don't realize it. We only realize it when we are on the receiving end and it is something we care about.

For example a fair weather fan might not be an insult to a fair weather fan but it is a huge insult to someone who is not. Also a person calling another person fair weather fan might not seam like a big deal to the cat caller but it might be viewed as such by the receiver.

We totally can go around insulting each other about real or imaginary differences and sometimes it is fun. When it is purposely harmful it is not fun anymore.

I understand I am being overly sensitive and this is no big deal and adds to the drama so its all good

USA vs. Canada is a great story line for the media to push and get rating up and has more to do with this trend of bashing Canadian fans than any real feeling. It is very contrived. Like others have said, for all intents and purposes we are the same nation.

Dude it's a sports message board. Have fun with it, throw some jabs back without taking it or making it personal, and enjoy the ride!

Listen you know what kind of fan you are and you also know that people within this thread are making some major generalizations, that being said just take it with a grain of salt.

My only point was last night the racial slurs were very severe and personal in nature, far different then if someone were let's say refer to me as being an 'Ugly American'

Good luck to your Jays in their series with Texas

Agree. Disgusting, unnecessary and not pay of the game.

Someone please lock this thread -- too many people taking themselves way too serious.

I am having fun. I am not mad at anyone. I am just trying to explain that most BJ fans don't like to throw cans around. I am also bored so thought I would type some words.

and my only point is that it has nothing to do with BJ fans being rotten
