If I was one of these artists, I'd be buying as many as I possibly could to sign and sell for a HUGE premium.

I think that's what some of them are doing now anyway.

It seems there’s different approaches by all artists. Some aren’t signing any rn, some are signing in base black in for free and selling colored parallels, some are selling only black ink, some are selling non numbered black inks and numbered colors. But yes it seems like free money that an artist is losing out on by ~NOT doing an autograph run.

Yeah. This is a no-brainer if you're one of the artists (and have some extra money to spend).

They're basically buying at $15-16 and can easily resell them with their autograph for $50-300+ depending on how they structure their tier-ed pricing.

Not to mention, they're also paying a small % back to themselves with the royalties/card.

Part of my “buying strategy” for this set was/is to buy up a sample of many different artists early on and depending on how they look in-hand, decide later how to focus that. But then I wouldn’t miss out on the early releases and have to go back and play as much catch up at inflated prices. I think Baller is one that I’m moving away from in regards to the in-hand product—solely due to the print quality and I’m bummed about it. I did decide to sample Grotesk as well and must say, they deliver in-person.

It IS important to plan a little with this set though, because as collectors, it’s easy to develop quick connections to many of these designs because we already have a strong connection with the originals. It can get costly, fast if you’re not careful.

The dang site crashed when I tried to add a Brett AP. Every refresh it crashed then 8 seconds later, it appeared all Sold Out.

I love that Koufax. Some of these cards are not aesthetically beautiful, but the choices made by the artist are so striking and jaw-dropping, I find myself saying "I HAVE to get that card".

This set is great on sooooo many different levels.

Also, the Koufax looks like it came from the 57 Topps.

Based on the hat he definitely used the '57 card as a basis.

I'm doing a Fucci set and like this one.

Got busy, missed the release. Glad I did so I didn't waste my time hitting refresh in a failed attempt at an AP.

Was thinking of skipping today's releases, but I kind of like the Koufax. Guess I have 48 hours to think about it.

I feel bad for anyone putting the Koufax player set together.

He has had the 4 most inconsistent looking cards and two and vertical, two are horizontal.

Not to be a dick but isn't the point to recreate the specific card in their own vision? Not just use any card for a template? Trout was some random mini insert and now this is a different year Koufax.

The shore Rivera has been up for a while. He kept the prices the same but jacked up the Print Run. was $350 /5 now $350 /15 and it was $150 /30 now $150 /35

Artists are seeing a cash cow now

I’ve pretty much buying 2 regardless right now since I missed out on the early ones. Have been going after some early ones but the wallet won’t allow me to go too crazy. Did pick up an Ermsy Trout, several Blake’s, and a few others I like. Doubt I could do the set so eventually will sell off the ones I don’t like to help fund the ones I do like.
