I am in South Carolina - I went to my Doctor yesterday (just to get some refills for meds) and this is what she told me:

Her national company said - they will NOT be testing for Covid -19
If anyone comes in with symptoms - turn them away
She (the Dr) only have 1 face mask left and sprays it down with lysol.....and she was told there is NO date of getting anymore.

Where I work - folks here are still down-playing this virus because they don't know anyone with the virus....

That’s why I don’t see this ending soon. The non compliant will keep prolonging this. 2 week shutdowns aren’t going to just last 2 weeks if the cases continue to climb. People really need to get through to everyone they know that this isn’t a joke.

My wife and I booked Hawaii for May a few months ago. Taking our two boys for the first time and just riding it out at this point. Bought through Costco Travel and paid with credit card so we will have some buyer protection going forward.

The CNN virus spread rate is extremely high and extremely deadly. So 1MM turns into 220MM in just a week.

I think I used the right adjectives. That's how it's done right?

I’ll need to see a study on this first though.

It's incredible to see how this has unfolded and has become a real-life example of the trolley problem. The ethical argument from both sides and the morality that surround each school of thought.

You can certainly see a lot of this forums school of thought if they were at the lever, and it can certainly open your eyes to your view of consequentialism.

Are the daycares still open in your area? Thoughts of shipping them off until school resumes?

Amazing that both Marvel and DC have been preparing us for the moment. The Joker first, then Thanos ... I wonder if all of this has seeped into the minds of most around the globe and they actually view this as some kind of rob Peter to save Paul kind of moment.

Just like in those movies, we've made the choice not to pull the lever and not to snap our fingers (although the latter is a bit different).

HA. No. Everyone is home until at least March 30th, but the reality is that the kids are here for a good long time. Everyones kids.

My team is a team of about 300 employees, and we attempted a Microsoft teams conference call earlier today. Holy *(#* was that something. The number of kids that you could hear at any one time (and dogs) just made it unworkable. BTW, the rest of my team is in Israel, and they're on the lock-down in the sense of aren't supposed to go outside unless needed.

Gonna have to figure something else out.

Has the curve been flattened? Is there an up to date chart that anyone can share?

Some have curves and others don’t.

Here are some good resources:

https://topic.newsbreak.com/covid-19.html#map-status
https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/

From what I’ve observed, there are more cases each day than there were the day prior for USA.

I'm supposed to get married on June 13th. I haven't postponed it yet since that's nearly 3 months out and a lot can happen in that time. I am hoping this starts to slow down by then. It hasn't gotten TOO bad in my state yet (77 confirmed cases, zero deaths, all in the southern part of the state where the population is highest), but it is only a matter of time before there is a documented case in my area.

You know Whole lasts longer (and if you reach in the back of the case, you can usually find one w/ a date 3+ weeks out).
