I was at the game and that layup miss sucked the air out the arena. If he dunks it, it's a guaranteed two. If he slows it down and gets fouled, I'm not sure I like the odds with him on the ft line just to eat a few seconds, maybe if it was Jokic. With how Minn was shooting, I think I'd take my chances with being up 3 and giving them a chance to tie vs Russ potentially missing a ft and giving them the chance to win for the 3rd time.. hard to say. Most people there thought Denver won before they realized a foul was called. Hate to see such a good game end that way. One of the best games I've ever seen up to those last two poss.

West is interesting right now....

1 very good team then 7 teams that could all probably beat each other on any given day. OKC still head and shoulders above the rest, but the possibility of a Clipper-Nuggets-then whoever's left gambit in the playoffs is challenging.

With Jokic on the floor, Denver has a statistical Net Rating of 11.94

Without Jokic on the floor, Denver's Net Rating plummets to negative 9.39, making them the second worst team in the league in terms of Net Rating without him.

Has there ever been a player in the history of the NBA that swings their teams Net Rating as much as Jokic ?

I'm pretty sure LeBron with the weaker Cavs teams were the same.

This is the issue you have when 1 guy controls the entire system.

Great for the regular season.

Not great against legit squads come Playoff time.

One of the worst half time takes i've heard by Kendrick Perkins in this Cavs/Knicks game:

"Karl Anthony Towns is having his way with the Cavs defense".

Towns has 7 points and 5 turnovers.

60 point trip dub was certainly a fairly nice consolation prize for the distant MVP runner up. Gotta take em when you can get em.

Tonight may very well be the worst slate of the season. And that's saying a lot.
