Michael Jordan RC, PSA 10, shatters 100k !!!

Looks like MJ rookies are picking up some steam. A PSA 9 just sold today on Ebay from PWCC for close to 30k and that was with a cracked case and OC.

PSA 9s bottomed out at about 18k a month ago. They were 25kish a couple weeks back. Now it looks like they are near the 30k mark.

Is it possible that dealers are just trying to inflate prices weeks before the biggest show of the year aka The National?

People want to use eBay for pricing and buy the dip, but if there's no dip anymore, dealers can ask whatever they want again....

Ironic how Gary Vee just so happens to get into cards again about three weeks before the National kicks off. The "pump" factor with cards and the amount of novice sheep that hang on these peoples word is truly mind boggling to me.

I had a 9.5 (9 cent) copy get a $50k offer on Saturday morning, which I didn't think much of until the PSA 10 sell that evening via PWCC. Also saw a 9.5 (10 cent) did $55k last night so that would be in line assuming both get paid for.

I haven't received payment yet, but that doesn't mean anything.

For this card though, sounds like the plan is to attempt a cross to a BGS 10.

The way you worded the original statement also implies you don't have a clear expectation of when you'll receive that payment. I haven't ever sold anything for $50k, but I have been in enough transactions of significant value (both buying and selling) that I feel like standard practice is to at least be in communication and set expectations of when payment will be made. i.e. "I have to transfer money from brokerage to checking, I should be able to wire the money on Thursday". It's been 3 days, which seems like quite a lot of time to not be in contact with someone over such a large amount of money. Maybe I read it wrong.

Ahhh I hear ya. It was worded that way because it sold through my PWCC Vault. I have no idea who the buyer was. My rep said it looks legit tho. It’s not a situation I can contact the buyer directly.

Ah gotcha, that makes more sense now. Any idea how long it takes for a non paid item to go back to your portfolio? Timing still seems sus, and if people are manipulating price charts heading into National this seems way too easy to do, and has your asset tied up while prices are spiking (leaving their cards as the only ones available). I have a Giannis unpaid for a week now that I would love to relist. Of course would be my luck if buyer comes out of left field to pay

PSA 8s were inching near $7000 and a Best offer at $10,000 and BIN at $15,000 the past couple days.

One sale at $29k is not picking up steam. Look at all the 8’s and 9’s and they are still selling for $7-8k for 8’s and 9’s are $24-25k. Feel badly for people who got duped back in January-March on the fake sales numbers just so a company could try to look better.

I want to see at least 10 sales of PSA 10 for $800K plus before I believe it is headed towards 1 million. It is all manipulation until then!

You won’t see that... as stated before there are psa 10’s that shouldn’t be graded as 10’s, moving forward I really don’t know how this is going to play out. Really bad thou that all 10’s aren’t on the same level. Will suck to see 200k-300k gaps between sales of Psa 10’s as to eye appeal.... plus the psa 10 that goldin pulled last auction to be sent back to Psa doesn’t help. I guess u can subtract one from the pop report as that one will be deducted.
