Plus it's doubtful that he has THAT many currently in the grading backlog because he wasn't lighting the world on fire before PSA closed down. |

Sold off most of my Ohtani before the start of the year, SPs etc.
Never got around to selling the Rookie Debuts Pink, Gold & Rainbow. All is not lost! |

I haven't pulled my Ohtanis out since the beginning of the season. All pack pulled and instantly sleeved / top loaded. Nothing big really. I pulled 1US285 gold foil which I sold recently for 150 raw.
No clue what do with em other than.. nothing? Turns out I have: 2 Optic Bronze Refractor 1 Batting, 1 Pitching 1 Optic Red / Yellow Refractor Pitching 1 #700 Topps Series 2 1 #150 Topps Chrome 1 83T-6 Topps Chrome 1983 2 83-2 Topps 1983 13 US1 Topps Update 2 #100 Allen and Ginter 2 #89 Gypsy Queen (Batting Image) 1 #HMW17 (Batting Image) 2 LITM-2 2 LITM-21 (1 Blue) 1 FS-5 1 IA-23 (Batting Image) 3 S-39 (Batting Image) 12 - US285 (Batting Image) |

Are people buying SGC 10s? If I bought an SGC card it would be with the intention of cracking it and submitting to PSA. That's obviously not an option right now (unless we're talking a high dollar card) so are people buying to keep them in the SGC slabs?
Or is all the SGC talk coming from people looking to get their cards graded quickly and sell them. Because I think I'd rather wait and get full price than start taking SGC coupons. Arthur |

Quick flipping is the SGC option I am considering. Just cannot sit and wait for 2022 to get here for bulk. I think that will be when they open for bulk. Other options are definitely in order. |

I have his Montgomery club Marlboro rookie as well. Probably should dig that out. |

I'm not looking to pay a premium for SGC 10s but if it's the same price as a raw card I'll take the 10 every time.

That's a decent bump for an SGC 10.
I always say "collectors are going to collect," in the sense that if option 1 isn't affordable to them they'll move on to option 2. But it appears that goes for grading companies, as well. Arthur |

Indeed. This might actually move the ROI on SGC, at least temporarily and Ohtani exclusive.

I've been pretty measured up to this point. For some reason, I'm starting to get wrapped up in Shohei fever. I just blinked and a bunch of money went flying out of my wallet.

Would love to see Ohtani get 100 extra base hits and 400 total bases this season. Last AL player to accomplish that was Albert Belle in 1995 and Jim Rice in 1978, respectively.

Picked up a 2018 Archives “hitting pose” variation RC for $125. Not sure what the consensus is on this card being that it’s from Archives but I love variations and cards with him batting to seem much more popular hence the Bowman Chrome RC.

2018 Topps Chrome Update #HMT32 - last auction $860 today I wouldn’t exactly say that the masses have made up their mind, that’s actually pretty even when it comes to auctions.
